That is pathetically weak.

In most seasons you play about 16-17 games at 2 venues. 9 at a place opponents visit on average about once every 2 years and where you train. And 7-8 at the MCG where nobody holds any advantage over you. No team gets to train there. No team is based there. If you haven't got the venue sorted out given your players would have played there 30+ times each on average then there would be something wrong.

So you play 9 games with the biggest home advantage in the AFL. 7-8 with no disadvantage v any team. And just about 6 or max 7 games most years at grounds where the opponent might have a bit of an advantage, but most dont train at those venues and none are as radically shaped as your home venue.

To claim there is a net disadvantage to the cats in that is delusional.

How much do you honestly think training there helps. Seriously it’s not an Indian cricket pitch mate it’s a footy ground

It is a huge help on such a quirky ground. It is 10m longer and 20 metres narrower than average, you see opposition teams get lost there all the time and Geelong players know exactly how to play it.

Geelong wouldn't even need to work on their game plan for games there they could be preparing for future games weeks in advance.

All mcg hpme tenants play home away games alot more at the mcg than geelong dp and have a massive advantage over us there plus get to play all home finals there where as geelong get no home finals at slilled. Its a huge disadvantage whichever way you spin it

You play 30% of your games there(barring covid years) over the lifetime of all your current players. If you have any disadvantage on a ground whilst playing 30% of your games on it you are ****wits.

Imagine claiming you are disadvataged playing on a ground where you play 7+ matches per year on average. Fmd.

Why do you think Chris Scott thought of the Hawkins pocket play?

At GMHBA it’s an easier shot at goal that’d he’d be used to not only cause he trains there the angle isn’t as bad.

Teams that go once every 2+ years wouldn’t know how to kick them.

But of course Phatboy knows that.

No one ever used to even complain about our home ground, it’s only the last 15 or so years were it has become a major issue with rival fans who never get down there anyway. Now all of a sudden after 160 odd years it’s the biggest leg up in the game and completely unfair. Unbelievable how the whole football community and this new generation in particular has become so soft. 😂

He averages a whopping 0.17 more goals per game at KP than he does everywhere else, playing exclusively against teams from interstate and generally ordinary sides from Melbourne.

Wow, he really has taken full toll of this massive advantage hasn’t he

Tell me.

What do you think is a prominent feature of a small stadium - which has had large chunks of one end missing due to construction work throughout his career - that happens to be situated just off the edge of the southern ocean?

What I really like is this line:

‘Teams that play there once every two years wouldn’t know how to kick them.’

Yeah because with 25 staff, the analysis and planning that goes on, and, uh, the fact that these are professional footballers who train 9 months a year to execute pinpoint skills and tactics wouldn’t be able to go ‘let’s get the ball to a forward who is in the field of play and get kick goals.’

GWS have figured it out but somehow it’s eluded everyone else 😂😂

The tiger and hawk nuffies make up the greater % of everyone else. Amazing how much having a home ground gives such a clear analyzation into their psyche. If they were surfers they could tell if the swell was on or offshore which clearly explains it. Next, the salmon in Geelong will be swimming in the opposite direction and they’ll complain about that too.

But let’s be honest, they’re just pissed they don’t have their own home ground.

Richmond and Geelong have met in 12 league finals all-up, with the Tigers winning ten and losing two.
Richmond and Geelong have met in 3 league Grand Finals, with the Tigers winning two (1967 & 2020) and losing one (1931).

Obviously you don’t know how the internet works. I could explain the bait-N-trap to you but then where would the fun be in explaining a joke? 😂

Are you taken the piss you opened a troll account 12 days ago we let you play and you want to explain the finer things about the net, turn it up 😂

Your home ground wasn't unfair before, because every club had one. Over the course of time from the mid 60's onwards the slow migration away from quirky home grounds to more generic shared central grounds took place for all Victorian clubs...bar Geelong.

Another ludicrous post by you.

Who said he didnt, you sound sexist some strong women out there who can think for themselves and defend themselves plus their husbands or partners, there's nothing wrong with that or do you believe a women should stay silent.
Sexist? He was the captain of an AFL football club ffs. 😂:$

So what is the timeframe of Geelong having a home ground seemingly unfair to you?

You know we fought hard to keep our home ground whilst the rest of you rolled over, don’t you?

More like nobody else would have you. The vast majority of Melbourne teams were off their suburban grounds by the end of the 90's but Geelong only rose into any sort of contention after the migrations had started in earnest during the 80's.

Is this your honest belief of what happened?
