Does the AFL have a citizenship award like the NBA? If not then they should and they should name it the Jim Stynes medal.

Ron Artest won it this year in the NBA.

I was impressed by Howe actually, someone mentioned him earlier in a thread and he has put his body on the line. .. Rivers has been solid across their backline too especially as Frawley is out of sorts. ..

Back to the negative, I wonder whether the press will say that Essendon is too reliant on Watson or is that only reserved for Judd and Carlton?

As I wrote on the main board -- they're a one man team and that one player wouldn't be in the top three players at his position at ANY of the top four clubs. They've lost nine in a row without Jobe Watson. For all of the people crying that we're a one man show with Judd I believe we're batting one under .500 without him. Not 0-9.

Theres a fair case for Freo being the one man team without big Sandilands. Not sure if I heard correctly last week, but i'm sure they have lost the last 7 when he has not played.

Melbourne were good tonight. Came with a real sense of belief.
Essendon have some serious issues. The obvious one is without Watson, they really struggle. The second one, and even more galring is how bad their forward line is. Practically non-existent tonight.

If Carlton win on Sunday, Essendon will be two games behind us.
