That was a horrible outcome........

Wasn't aware that when a trade fortuitously happens to go your way that the following year you have to even it up.

GC Suns trade G Ablett, Rd2 (24) and 2018 Rd4 to Geel Cats for End rd1 compo (19) and 2018 Rd2.

So 19 <> 24 948 to 785 .... 163 points ... P59 fine

then the sting ..Geelong 2018 R2 for 2018 GoldCoast R4 estimation 30 for 55 = 422 around a P41

Maybe they aren't particularly worried about it if it's for a number of F'S selections but it satisfied GC.

The trade is virtually what a lot of you wanted to give up this year (pick 35) and a 5 spot downgrade.

It's a solid trade. Win/win for both clubs.

Sorry don't see it that way Nakia. I'm also talking about the Lang trade as well. Wells waits until the last hour of trade week and then yields. You can't tell me that that was our desired outcome with both those trades.

So we lose Lang and Motlop and downgrade a bunch of our picks and get Ablett, we've had a couple of great trade periods recently but that has to be one of our worst. And after all the noise about how disappointed the club was with the finals performance we proceed to get rid of 2 of our best players in those finals.
