Mitch Cleary gets good cats info so I’d say JJ looks likely. With no Cats players mentioned to go out I can see someone leaving now. So I guess they will work out the list issue later.

The Wells comments that people are referring to are being misquoted. He said Jenkins is clearly available but we don’t have a spot at the moment. Different to saying we don’t want him

I think its more we need to move a contracted player out or a 2 for 1 pick deal to create a list spot for him. We seem keen.

Reckon it’ll just be Steven for 58, JJ (vomit) for a F4th.

We’ll miss out on getting up the order I reckon.

Maybe jump a couple spots in the second round on draft night but doubt we’d get into the 10

You said why would anyone trade for henderson. Why would anyone trade for Zac Smith? But yeah it's apick we wouldn't even use.

Suns didnt have to give us anything but they did out of respect, not sure every club would be as nice. And the difference between pick 58 and a 7 pick first round upgrade is huge.

We have to go up the order or delist and payout contracts otherwise 24/36/37 basically go in the bin.

Interested to see how we make some list spots available, otherwise what was the point of the kelly trade if we aren't going to use some of those good picks we got? This hasn't been managed well at all so far.
I think his let the dust settle and clubs knew we had alot and were probably asking too much for what he wanted to do. So now his in a position where he holds the cards and calls the shots

I wonder given that we are likely to go in with multiple firsts this year, whether we would consider both our 2020 firsts as a tradeable piece for access to this draft.

The only thing is that its starting to get crowded.

I.e. Melbourne, GWS and Fremantle are probably unlikely to trade out of top ten. Gold Coast probably would for a player. Then you are left with Carlton at 9 (possible if a split is happening), Sydney at 5 and Adelaide at 4. The problem with picks 4 and 5 is that I'm not sure we have the currency to move up that far and whether its worth it. Adelaide might be open to a split but you'd probably looking at least 14, 17, 24 all being bundled. Sydney might for two picks next year plus a sweetner of say pick 24. However, the price is going to be very high to move up in a so called even draft.

Carlton is probably the only realistic option to get top ten.
Adelaide have got to replace 7 people at least
I reckon
Jenkins and pick 4 for 14, 24 and 37
Leave us with 4, 17 and 36 to come with Steven and Jenkins
Still might get the two Stephens and Dylan Willaims
Would be a hoot getting 3 Stephens/Steven in the period

I don't know if we should be picking a player we previously had no interest in just because Danger said so.

If you believe we are getting him because Danger said so then you dont understand how footy clubs work, Danger would have 0 say it what Wells and his team do, the article saying Danger was pushing for it was crap and just a puff piece because they are mates.

I hope so because Wells said we had no interest in him a few days ago.

They’ve already brought in Frampton and have 4, 23, 28 and 29. No need to do anything drastic e.g. throw away 4.

At best we could trade 36 and 37 for one of their picks in the 20s, likely 28 or 29.

Why is it so rushed then if it was planned? Wells & co lock into targets 6-12 months in advance. I certainly buy Danger pushing for it. Jenkins has been like the guy dancing by himself all night and now it is 3am and we are interested.
