Not bad. I'd love to get Robertson.
Don't know why we'd want warrell and if we pick gould I'll be annoyed to add to back stocks.
Under that draft we could get Robertson. C.Stephens and Williams. Then I'm in heaven.

That's a fair haul for us. I'd be very happy with that but they did say that it was in no way shape or form a proper phantom draft.

I don't think Henry will get bid on before 10. Melb may want Weightman but they'd be stupid not to take up GCS offer and trade down a couple then get an extra top 20 pick.

Not sure why you would be annoyed at Gould. Just pick the best players in my view.

Gould is a gun. He slips b/c he doesnt play a "glamour position" and after being an integral part of a senior SANFL premiership probably spent too much time out celebrating and had a poor combine. If you could clone Stewart and have two of them running around the back half then you'd do it every day of the week even if it cost as pick 14. Gould has starred in pretty much every game he's played the last two years.

I'd be over the moon with him at 24. Likewise Worrell who was rated at around pick 10 halfway through the year before he sat it out and people apparently zoomed past him

Also wouldn't change the number of top 10 picks on the list - we wouldn't have picked up both players that year

Would still be a tally of 4:
Selwood/Hawkins (draft rules dependant), Cockatoo, Danger & Rohan

The tally though is just names on the list currently, not what we would or would not have done I would have thought

Will Gould with P24, what a steal that would be a future 200 gamer and 1st round starter 2020. Would put heat on a few down back.
At 18 not just a SANFL player but a SANFL star.

That's my understanding also

I think some are speculating what may or may not have happened under different circumstances

If we could guarantee getting Robertson with 14 I wouldn’t bother trading up. He’s a gun. Doubt though it will happen.

Must admit I’m warming to Gould at the right price. At 24 he’d be a good get. Like that he’s dropped weight since the Champs. A guy with a serious aggressive streak wouldn’t go astray.

Agree with your assessment of Sharp and Taheny. Although I think Sharp has a higher floor. I think he will be a decent wingman even if he doesn't really care. His kicking is the real concern. For an outside mid his is inconsistent by foot. Taheny has the higher ceiling and lower floor. He could be a complete nightmare match up as a forward if he wants it enough. Ridiculously explosive on the lead with a fantastic jump and good hands. Not to mention a 55m gun left foot.

I think both potentially have very high ceilings. As for floors, I’d agree that Sharps is likely to be higher. I was impressed though with Taheny’s interview on afl.com.au - he indicated that he wasn’t a one trick pony - that he’s capable of playing at both ends of the ground. He appeared quite thoughtful. If you could get him at 36 he’d be a great speculative type. Doubt he lasts till then though. Someone will likely take a chance on him in the 20’s.

If it worked out like the AFL phantom then we’d be laughing. I’d really like Worrell but Bianco would also be great. The only real knock I have on our current team is the appalling ball users we have esp under pressure. You can never question our effort. Gould and Bianco are absolute elite kicks. Bianco would complement the Parfitts, Constable etc beautifully. I’ve really warmed to him esp if we got a Kemp or Robertson who are also more inside and not elite kicks like most big beasts aren’t

How tall is he ? - he "slimmed" down to 90kgs , fair unit for a puppy

Be nice to work a little deal with Freo involving or based around moving from 14 to 10 and maybe 17 to 22. The 15 to 25 group like particularly even so having picks 22 and 24 isn’t too bad.

True. Hard to take much from who is talking to who. Might just be an indication they're they think they wouldn't be available at their pick. I don't think we spoke to Jordy Clark until the day of the draft

Not true we rang him another 5 times on the plane over just to make sure. Same story with Kelly. Geel and WCE had had multiple meetings according to an article when TK was drafted.
