Who?
Good. He seems like a prick, dont want him.I cannot stress this enough.
He hates Geelong more than anything.
Includes the entire town, he will never play for GFC

Depends on who is there. If you can get tilthorpe at 7 (I can't see him getting past gws at 9 with their ruck stocks) and not 11 then it's well worth pushing 16 back imo but I'd prefer to do that trade on the night when we know who is there. RUck and key forward are such holes for us.
Not sure what you mean. It was said Selwood’s knees were f’ed when he was drafted.
As I’ve said, I don’t think it’s at all likely but you would be negligent not to do due diligence on a player of his quality.
I can see us butting heads over this claim repeatedly in coming weeks/months.with our no develop, play now mindset
my opinion ..That’s true. Do you see Tilthorpe as a KPF or ruck?
10 years younger though CE
what would Ess want for him... my bet like everyone ..and R1 pick
my opinion ..
at his size and age its a guess .. ..a bit like I say with Dek..you play him , develop him ..and his talent will dictate

You would trade up for him (within reason)?
He really overrated imo, has had no real impact the last 2 seasons, looks lost if he’s not playing in the guts & isn’t good enough to be in a finals bound midfield, gets by on tackles.
He’s probably a bit better version of Dahlhaus at this stage
It such a difficult year , we have no Kiwi type players that have come from a long way back.... but as I said earlier ..I have moaned about lacking single figure picks. I maintain that a Premiership side need single figure picks that they have picked at the draft , you can fail with them but I suspect you can not succeed without them. We have not had a pick under 10 since Selwood in 06 .....
but one pick is not really enough. Cockatoo shows that. Look at StKilda with their pick of McCartin with P1.
If a tall player of talent , was expected to be there then I suspect id take the risk. I wanted Ben King sometime ago.. thats gone now. Our future tall hopes are pinned to Sav and to Freddie ..both players deemed to be worth something in the 40's... and traditionally gun forwards come from picks earlier than that. Like any tall. he would not be an immediate play now solution
Im happy to trade a 1st rd this year with a 1st rd next year still leaves us with 2 1st rds this yearJust my opinion, if we have 4 picks for this year's draft, this is what we need to get
1st pick. Best Key Forward
2nd Pick Best Midfielder
3rd pick Small Defender
4th pick but probably most important pick thou. A YOUNG RUCK PLEASE.... not a Forward who can swap to defence and pinch a bit of ruck. A key primary position ruck...
You sound like Frydenberg deflecting on whether budget stimulus is always a prudent economic initiative when dealing with a recession!
So you would make him a priority or not?
The question is an interesting one but really thats not what you are asking ... what you are really want to know is..... (The Canberra answer)
If we had P1 ..who would I take ... well then at least we have total control ...ohhh. nope ..cause the Dogs go and match
Lets say it like this id like a pick to be able to consider him against who else is available at that pick. Rucks around the ground , marks the ball, good by hand , left and right foot , snaps at goal . What I do not know is stuff like leap and 2k time trail..all the combine stuff ..but the chance to get someone like this.. yes id probably take him if he was there as the chance to get someone like his is rare for us.
..and the thing im sort of putting a sush on..is we might trade up...and then someone else takes him.. one cant control that ..but the top group of players would be a standard of youth we have not had access to for some time. what if DGB was there etc ... there will be a gun mid... its just mids are them more available type..He looks a great prospect to me. Going to be a big body but is still quite mobile. I can’t see him lasting to pick 7 but who knows? Have no idea of specific club requirements.
If we do trade up to get him, along with whoever we get at 11 would give us two highly rated kids in one draft, something we haven’t had for years.
As if he was ever leaving melbourne. As much as i would love Viney i applaud him for his loyalty, not a lot in the modern game.
I was brief and too attribute in that cliched claim , the world is multiple shades of grey rather than black and white so 'no develop' is not correct.... but yes we probably we will have a discussion or two. all good fun.

I’m finding it hard to get a line on Tanner Bruhn obviously there’s not a lot of footage & he’s played a handful of games in 2 years, has some nice traits, very comfortable on both sides of his body, deceptively quick off the mark, quick hands but sometimes looks a little Darcy Langish , he’s mocked well inside the top10, I’m not sure if I might take Perkins &/or Macrae before him, might change with Bruhn’s combine results I guess.
The debate about the development of our youth, and whether it's consistent and sufficient will continue for the duration of Scott's reign here.
There's no definitive answer as each opinion will be shaped by an individual interpretation of what constitutes a correct balance between our kids and the old timers.
Playing Miers shows that we are not totally focused on matures only ... but when I listed to KRock mention that Jordan Clark might go ... and Higgins is a done deal ... it does tend to make one think we have a heavier balance on the mature end atm.

Cal Twomey has him top 5 but that clubs see him as more a forward at AFL level. I don’t see that at all in the highlights. If he can’t ruck I don’t see anything there that’s scream main pea in the pod.He looks a great prospect to me. Going to be a big body but is still quite mobile.
