I still think Bruhn ends up at Hawthorn or CollingwoodHopper checked out a while back I'm told. Wants out of GWS (and Sydney) and will most likely be in the hoops - that's his preference and Geelong will do their part to make it happen.
Same for Bruhn, although not sure Geelong will prioritise getting that deal done. If it's a live chance throughout trade period then Cats have some interest.
I would really like to have him but we can't afford him if we're already committed elsewhere.Ollie Henry talk keeps coming...what do we reckon?
You think they will trade hopper for pick 20? Why?
Neale just re-signed for 2023.I can see our interest in Brody and fair enough, long term maybe they like the Conway and Grundy combo, in that case I'm thinking Shannon Neale, who they recently extended could be going the other way, along with someone like Francis Evans?
And don't come at me with top 3 B&F, Blicavs has won 3 (or 2?) and no one would give us a first rounder for him.
James WillisJust watched Cal Twomey's latest draft chat. It would be rather good if we could get both Bruhn and Henry, given the club's attachment to locals. Henry is a long shot, but the McStay arrival does change things a bit.
Anyway i think Henry would be a great get for us and could play either upward or back. He has huge upside.
Bruhn is harder to assess, but he too must surely have significant improvement in him and would improve our age demographic.
Hopper is or has been a very solid footballer, but I think we need someone bit more explosive. Who that might be I don't know.
Neale only makes it as a key position player. Conway is a different story but it’s 4 seasons before he even hits Tom De Konings age. If you get the opportunity to grab a tall player whose in the top 3 in his position you grab him. They rarely if ever come up. So when you do you grab the Tom Lynch, Jeremy Cameron, Jake Lever Stephen May etc etcNeale just re-signed for 2023.

That said I don’t think this one will happen:
The bloke literally made the AA squad last year. This year is unfair to judge:Just watched Cal Twomey's latest draft chat. It would be rather good if we could get both Bruhn and Henry, given the club's attachment to locals. Henry is a long shot, but the McStay arrival does change things a bit.

I actually said in my comment that they extended himNeale just re-signed for 2023.
So you did. Not sure why you’re suggesting he could be “going the other way” then.I actually said in my comment that they extended him
So win the flag, then watch opposition supporters melt with Hopper and Grundy coming in would be so good lol.
Sign and trades happen in other sports and I'm speculating that this may be one way Andrew Mackie could upgrade the list. If there is substance to the story then clearly Geelong thinks Grundy is an upgrade. So you did. Not sure why you’re suggesting he could be “going the other way” then.
Neale isn't going to be a ruck so it's a moot pointSign and trades happen in other sports and I'm speculating that this may be one way Andrew Mackie could upgrade the list. If there is substance to the story then clearly Geelong thinks Grundy is an upgrade.

I don't understand how this could be a thing for Mackie.Sign and trades happen in other sports and I'm speculating that this may be one way Andrew Mackie could upgrade the list. If there is substance to the story then clearly Geelong thinks Grundy is an upgrade.
Grundy is an upgrade on Stanley and Ceglar. Neale is a future Hawkins replacement.Sign and trades happen in other sports and I'm speculating that this may be one way Andrew Mackie could upgrade the list. If there is substance to the story then clearly Geelong thinks Grundy is an upgrade.
Way to ruin two months of speculation and nonsense!Let's just remember that often these trade rumors are a load of crap.
What makes you say Taranto is better than Hopper? Both missed plenty of football this year, Hopper on the verge of AA last year. Taranto turns it over as good as anyone. He is a better player than the ones we appear to be speaking to.
I was told we were looking at half a dozen players.
Brayshaw was taken off the list.
