Can't see it being 2 x R1s, considering they need cap relief. If we do that, we will probably get 2 x R2s back.
Will you stop watching VFL then?Reports Sav having a look around if another club wants him
Was always going to be the case once Clarkson got the job, will learn from the bestMate of mine who attendeded NM b&f told me last night that B Scott told him it was a media beat up and he’s had no intention of moving...
They might ask again about sav purely because he's 198cm tall but he's still steak knives. They are losing Taranto, Hooper, Hill and Bruhn. I would assume they would want players that can slot right in.
GWS have expressed interest in Esava previously. Could potentially also see a Narkle in the mix there.
They might be steak knives at the Cattery as they aren't regular starters however at other clubs they would slot right in. He's probably in our top 30 playing list at present as well. They might ask again about sav purely because he's 198cm tall but he's still steak knives.
No one is asking about Narkle
Narkle isn't replacing anyone at senior level. His career is over. Sav still has a shot but his value is only marginally higher than his list spot in trade terms. They might be steak knives at the Cattery as they aren't regular starters however at other clubs they would slot right in. Narkle would be a good replacement for Hill or Bruhn loss.
As with all failed tall forwards... he'll become a very serviceable tall back man. Like Liam jones and Tommy Lonergan ?I think at this point kpd is either going to be a draft and sit in the vfl or a failed forward to sit in the vfl. I don't think we should be looking ready made at this point.
I think sav could be that failed forward for us too
I wouldn't say all of them. Josh Schache for exampleAs with all failed tall forwards... he'll become a very serviceable tall back man. Like Liam jones and Tommy Lonergan ?
Sav has so much more natural athletic ability than Schache and a penchant to throw his body around.I wouldn't say all of them. Josh Schache for example
I have mentioned trading Stephens if possible.Would they take Stephens? Cheaper than they are losing but was a reasonably high pick with upside so maybe they would value him highly And reduce what we need to pay in picks?
The the question is Would we let him go? I reckon he will be frustrated next year if he isn’t regular 22 and even with Selwood going if you bring hopper, his relative positioning doesnt change? He is behind Parf who wasnt in best 22 last week!

They tried Schache as a defender and it didn’t work.I too have wondered about Schache as a possible key defender. He's very talented but something may be lacking given he still can't cement a place in the Dog's team. It's true many failed forwards have made great defenders, Liam Jones, McCartin etc etc. How old is Schache? He is a much better kick than Esava that's for sure.
I doubt if Cooper Stephens will be going anywhere: the Cats have put a lot of work in to him plus Jack the Godfather loves him. Anyway i think Stephens will make it as a player.
As for Grundy, we finished clear on top without him and have just won our way in to the PF: it's a gamble we don't need to take. We need mid-fielders far more than we need Grundy.
It will be hard but just have to push on....and he is only looking maybe no club wants himWill you stop watching VFL then?

So long as its not 2 r1s.
I like hopper but grundy would still be my top target (subject to medical).
Schache has no intensity. All the talent in the world but is too timid. Doesnt make it at afl level imo.
Why would they want our rejects? They would want a play in our best 22 not VFL top up playersThey are losing Taranto, Hooper, Hill and Bruhn. I would assume they would want players that can slot right in.

They are going full tilt for a flag it sounds. Surprised they have the cap space? Who is on undersRichmond's season has only just ended, but the Tigers are poised to be one of the busiest club's this off-season.
Tom Browne has reported on Triple M Footy this afternoon that Richmond could land both Tim Taranto & Jacob Hopper from GWS.
It is rumoured that Taranto could offered as much as a 7-year deal, while Hopper is still firmly on their radar despite strong links to Geelong.
Browne also reported that Trent Cotchin has been offered a one-year deal to play on next year.
