I agree, but I don’t believe our club like to sit around waiting for success. They seem more like a go and get it type of club. I don’t mind either way to be honest, Thomas is a ridiculous talent.

Agree, this is like getting Stengle '21 on steroids. If he's switched on we're right amongst the 2024 contenders.

Huge reward, even higher than Tyson's IMO, but a bigger risk too. Some of the things he allegedly gets up to are pretty horrific reading.

The big question now is how far down the track is this? Has a trade request been lodged?

Tbh, this is what will really happen because we have the list spots.

7 is traded for 2 or maybe 3 picks in the draft, and with the Sav pick(s). I suspect we just keep trading our picks to upgrade to 3 picks in the the 12-30 range.

Blokes we will be looking at are:
Darcy Wilson
Charlie Edwards
George Stevens
Arie Shoenmakers
Angus Hastie
Zane Zakostelsky

You get 3 of those blokes in, and it's not a bad off season.

It's a fine line, and I agree, we need to be careful to not be too 'woke' here...but we also need to grasp the gravity of the situation.

In no way are TT's actions excuseable...but I think many need to remember the unfortunate truth here: This stuff happens regularly, we just don't hear about it.

AFL players are young, dumb men with expendable income. They're going to make mistakes and think they're invincible.

What's important is learning from it, and looking to improve as a person. That's where you truly separate the good from the bad.

I'll go out on a limb and guess that at least one of our current, and/or former player's or coaches has gotten up to worse. It just wasn't publicised.

The club will make the decision, and I'll trust their judgement. They don't make these decisions lightly.

As you mention, if we got rid of everyone who made a mistake, we wouldn't have a club.

I’ve been around BF a long time but I still don’t know which of our posters to trust and not to.

Just because Calder said Thomas, shouldn’t mean we suddenly do or don’t believe him. Brad likes him, so every chance Chris has heard some positive things.
I wouldn’t be wrapped with it myself but our club isn’t morally superior over everyone else no matter how much we want to believe it, we just want a good player. Other clubs have enquired about him, we wouldn’t be any different.

The part I find harder to believe is North's side of it, stand by a bloke who ****s up multiple times to finally get them on the straight and narrow and playing very good footy only to trade them with a year to run, find that hard to see happening, especially a side like North that need all the talent they can get.

Would imagine with all of Norf's priority picks, getting one back wouldn't be the end of the world for them. I could deal with that if it were the case. Straight up Pick 7, not a chance in hell, IMO.

To be fair to Toby Greene he has really grown up this year and its shown, he's actually very likeable and we all know how good he is, the problem is you can be a tosser on the footy field but when it comes to serious almost sadistic actions off field its a lot harder to change and convince people you are a good person.
