I remember being at the Boxing Day test and the Mexican wave went up, and over my head a frozen chook flew through the sky! I couldn't see where it landed but it certainly made me laugh.

Been observing a tower upgrade on the same block at work. Taken 1.5 weeks for a simple small tower on a shopping complex roof and still not finished. Would be a bigger tower you'd expect for a stadium.

Club has recently secured more than $4m for upgrades to the venues scoreboards.
KP precinct is a major attraction + resource for the region, in addition as a football stadium also has a function centre a restaurant.
It's fantastic for our team, however, it's become a contentious issue in the community, due to budget cuts to health services.

I’m not sure I understand your comment… pretty sure they explained the value add to club and community in the article. What sort of revenue stream outside of that detailed in the article are you looking for?

As a hawks fan was cool to see the new redovelopment even if the result was terrible, although the internet definitely wasn’t great in the Selwood stand and also wayfinding especially in the upper level needs some work i swear everyone kept getting the aisle wrong and ended up 1 aisle away from where they should be 
also is it normal they lose audio for a few seconds after the siren
Another small thing but now that the away benches and rooms are in the Brownlow stand side of the ground would they also be able to move the away coaches box towards that side in the future instead of being in the opposite side

The free wifi has been a joke for the past two matches. I just want to connect to it so I can listen to SEN stadium from time to time but I don't get the wifi login prompt. I've tried all sorts of ways to force the prompt to appear but nadda.
Queuing at the Selwood stand end is terrible. I have reserved seats in the lower Hickey Stand and found it quicker to enter via the river end gates.

Internet is horrible but i did manage to connect to the free wifi last night at half time and was then fine

4G was the best it’s been in a long time in the Hickey Stand. Was even able to log onto BigFooty at half time!
33,188. A sell-out. Really? Who's going to say it was 7000 reserved seat holders who didn't turn up or on-sell their seats? We deserve to know why a 40,000 capacity stadium is not getting anywhere near that. The first game (Saints) was close. Since then, very ordinary. And yet last week fans (particularly Hawks) were saying they couldn't get a ticket. Club? AFL? Ticketmaster?
Plenty of the season seat holders would be mid sixties or older and winter night games are just too cold for them to head out.
I also wonder how many eastern Melbourne seat holders with young children give these night games a miss.
It's money in the bank but maybe the club should disincentivise buying the same seat for the season, but somehow have a membership package with heavily discounted seat purchases week to week. It is a risk but it might lead to bigger crowds.
Or maybe it's the shit wifi.
If that is the reason then the club should say so. Plenty of senior citizens (including me) in my section.
7000 people who bought a ticket didn't show up. Simple as that. Don't overthink it.
The issue is league wide. Pies v Dons sold out, and they got 80,000.
Can't buy that, John Z. It IS a league-wide problem, and fans are always complaining about the difficulty of getting tickets. So in your mind maybe up to 15,000 fans with tickets didn't/couldn't turn up on Friday night? You've got far too much faith in the (supposed) competence of those in our game involved in the ticketing process. AFL would love your position of not thinking about it.
