Bad: Plenty. Namely conceding nearly 100 to Port.

Ugly: Smith off on a stretcher.

Funny: Kane Cornes not happy with M Crouch winning the medal. Suck it, Kane. You should know all about racking up largely irrelevant possessions and getting lauded for it.

That was our Hawthorn impression for the year. I.e, run at half pace and show two thirds of sweet FA as far as endeavour is concerned and stil come away with a demoralising win.
Hopefully that's the cobwebs blown out for the rest of the year.

Pretty lacklustre performance all around. But on the plus side DMac nearly B.O.G tonight.

Oh yeah and all those defenders of the Sauce-Thommo combo for the past two seasons, check it out. This is the biggest hole in our side this year, and this will go a long way to undoing a lot of hard work from our boys.

Not this year if selection panel do t learn to be ruthless.

We definitely weren't great BUT we have to give Port some credit. They came to play tonight and to be honest to tough win is probably better than another smashing when we need to be getting ready for finals.

6 contested possessions for someone who spends his entire game on the ball is a bit unfortunate.

Obviously its not all Thompson's fault though. The entire midfield system seemed to break down from Q3 onwards. Did Brouch even touch it in the second half?

Thommo, got better as the game went on but he started from a very low base. He can't back up from 6 days and Perth, this has to be his last season.

A really poor game tonight.
Poor skills and lack of effort.

Matt Crouch - 10 more disposals than any other Crow, was excellent in that first half - his work in the 2nd quarter should have had us 7 goals up.
Guv is a top mark

Lyons was good in the first half
RAT also very good at times.
4 points. As Hawthorn will tell you, 4 points is good enough sometimes.

Bad
I mean Christ! That was horrible kicking for goal, and some dumb dumb footy around the ground.
The umpiring. It was as if the AFL changed the rule for HTB after quarter time.

That's exactly what the club needed after a few soft games. Finals intensity. We didn't play our best but we took everything they had and came out on top. Best preparation for the next 6 weeks.

Good:

Seriously, that was a badly umpired game.

The umpiring was poor, but not necessarily because they didn't call stuff against us. They were inconsistent. One moment they're letting someone spin around 5 times without calling holding the ball, the next they're calling it without any prior opportunity. The just need to be consistent.
