That shot by Boak at the end of the 1st 1/4. No one at the ground would have thought that missed except for an eagle-eyed goal umpire and snicko. So funny.

Goal umpire was certainly not eagle eyed - he called a point a goal.

Keane thought it brushed the post, the 'bunker' review every goal - thats how the mistake got picked up.

It is brave to own your mistakes as you don’t know the consequences of the admission. Nicks is a coward and never will own it .

Owning your mistakes doesn’t have anything to do with being let off the hook though. You can admit a mistake and still get punished ( it’s definitely a mark against Hinkley ) . It shows your players that you are prepared to walk the talk. Nicks is a hypocrite
Ken knew everyone had him cold over his stuff up, so fessing up was the least painful thing for him to do. "So brave"

I think the post you responded to was from a chick, so I'd be going with Subaru. Only she could combine that level of ignorance combined with arrogance.
Not everyone who disagree with shit takes from you guys are creating alias account, there must be a lot of alias accounts lol.

Subaru wouldn't be an alias, it would be resurrected from her earlier account. In terms of resurrection', I think she's back, as is mick and Murray. That elite crow chap is also, but I think he outed himself. Similar to Jack is back, but not Kristof, who tried to sneak back in.

Can’t agree. Smith did not need to come on for Curtin. In fact, Smith is done. With Nicks, it’s not a matter of picking the best players it’s about who fits into his structure. If this were false Murphy and Ned would never play. From the outer it looks like the senior players call the shots.

Even worse than that, I don't think it's structurally based outside of a couple of obvious ones - more just based on who he(/they?) want in the side.

Owning a mistake and then doing the same thing repeatedly kind of makes the owning of it, irrelevant.

As does owning 1 mistake out many, and continuing to repeat those mistakes.

Despite Soligo being talked up as part of our long term midfield plans since joining the Crows, he was not played as a first choice inside midfielder until Round 4 of his third season.

When did Rozee and Butters become first choice inside mids at the Pear?
Soligo went into the midfield earlier than Butters/Rozee, they both started being regular mids in their 4th seasons. This season, Soligo's third, is the first where he's attending over 50% of CBAs - basically starting in round 3. He attended 19% last year with no games over 50% CBA attendance.

Rozee attended 19% CBAs in his second year, 12% in his third year, and 50% in his fourth year - similar to Soligo this year he became a full-time mid during that 4th season. Butters was 3% in his second year, 21% in his third, 38% in his 4th (2022), so pretty similar. Obviously both of them attended midfield stoppages before that but not really as full-time inside mids.

I think we did learn that we are still missing someone to cover a mobile medium forward. Whether it's JHF, Danger, Martin, Petracca etc.

The resting mid who has a bit of power or pace.

In the past the perfect matchup for this was Jake Kelly, and I think this was the most important role he played. Sure we can move max onto these players, but then we need someone to cover the small forward.

Hinge isn't quite the close checking defender that we need in this situation and everyone everyone else doesn't have the pace.

We need a medium defender that can actually defend, or a key defender that has the smarts and pace to play on these types.

I don't think this is Curtin either.

Perhaps what we could move Max onto these types and then move Jones onto the smaller forward. Whatever the approach we need to practice it and be prepared.

Disagree .....Smith can put out a good qtr, a good half .....one out of two games

Old players are renowned for being very inconsistent .....same as kids

Our DEF profile is both young and inexperienced .....it was smart to have a wise head in a frenetic last qtr ....I don't care if it was Smith, even Dawson last week was thrown back to offer that stability
A wise head with 2 kick outs.. vital. He’s done.

Many supporters on this board are playing the long game, ie just as invested in the development of the squad and certain players that have the potential to take us to the next flag as they are with gaining 4 points. I really don’t think you can see that.

Wayne actually lives in a fantasy world where Nicks is a certain flag coach and therefore every decision he makes is an important part of the overall process.

Why are Butters and Rozee being singled out for a comparison when there’s others draftees who actually play midfield early on?

Keane told the goal umpire but he didn't understand him

A Few Good Men = Jack is Back = Ciao Giacomo

You don’t have to be a Rocket Scientist……..

Is the Troll Moderator on duty? Is it trolling to mention “Boomer” but O.K. to vilify women*?

Surely the team doctor should have ruled him out. A hammy’s a hammy.
Can’t believe the coach would have overruled him.
They must have first year medical students running the show down there.
