Karma is a bitch.

Can anyone ask how Burton is feeling about us late on Saturday Night?

Imagine trying to win the fake fight orchestrated by your own club and still losing the showdown and fake fight too.

It’s just utterly bizarre and pathetic. The never ending public vaudeville act. Oh how we “hate” them. Yawn 🥱

I certainly won’t be at ease until they are out of the finals and let’s face it, they are still in a good position given the fragility of teams below them… but some concerns there over yonder you would think. The areas of weakness which were covered during the steak are being exposed. They may well beat Geelong next week, but yeah, opposition will be looking very closely at the last month for sure. Ken just needs to cheer more. That’ll do it! 😀

When the game was there to be won, Matt Crouch was brilliant. His field kicking was good as well, and he even had a chase down tackle.

Needs to stay in the side.

Did he play? I hope one of our players did this to him after the game. What an absolute shit campaigner.

Good:
  • Showdown win as underdogs! We showed the intensity from start to finish.
  • Tex was unbelievable. Should've had 8 but gifted one to Keays.
  • Dawson (amazing), Laird (fast hands) and Crouch (actually had metres gained) all did a great job in the midfield
  • Milera, Worrell and Hinge were all great in rebounding
  • Hinge did an excellent job on Powell-Pepper
  • Keane, Michalanney and Nank were all solid
  • McAdam started strong

Bad:
  • Chayce Jones having to play defence all game due to injuries
  • Rory Sloane's hand in the back chest mark on Boak lol, that was funny, but his time has come
  • ROB barely won the ruck battle against Visenti. This was his time to shine and he didn't.
  • Keays and Pedlar. Both had 2 goals, but Keays has that JJ role that involves running back to the goal square for easy goals and Pedlar junked it up late. Kind of glad he did, to help with his confidence, but he was mostly bad that whole game.
  • Port. I thought they were meant to be good.

Ugly:
- Port not declaring Jones or Alir with concussion; allowing Alir back on and subbing Jones with migraine

Have to laugh at Mark Keane in the post match interview

Very... thick accent
It needed subtitles.

Because of Roo that is, I could understand Keane just fine.

Aliir clearly had to enter concussion protocols. We will find out this week if the AFL are actually serious about the head. Will they be brave enough to sanction a doctor? I think I know the answer.
They will sweep it under the rug like they did the last time this was brought up

Matt Crouch, take a bow. That could very well be the best game of his career. Hardly any dinky handballs backwards, he chased, his kicking was accurate and he killed it in the clearances.

I dreaded the midfield battle, but he looked like a whole new player tonight.

Milera also stood out. He cops it a bit on here, but I think he's putting together a solid season for the most part. Even last week, despite the last kick, there was always a willingness to take the game on.

Tex just has to get an AA jacket now. With the Eagles still to come, there's also a Coleman to win.

Set shot kicking is still a concern, which is the only negative on our behalf.
