Hard to quanitfy but players better now than in 22

Warner, Mclean, Heeney, Rowbottom, Hayward, Papley? maybe similar worse case, Florent, Campbell, Gulden, Blakey, Mcinnerney, Mccartin

Players about the same Papley? Lloyd, Rampe? just

Only really Parker isnt quite what he was in 2022

Payne, Hipwood and Neale all hampered. That’s what we know of, probably more. It’s along season folks, not sure anyone outside top 4 has beaten a QF winning minor premier.
Bulldogs played the Giants in 2016 and they finished 4th

Think the way Lloyd is used now he is better. On the wing and moving forward more is great for the team.
Maybe even Rampe. They're like a fine wine those two.

Putting injuries to the side, I think the only players "worse" than 2 years ago are Parker and McCartin. Parker due to age and game speed whilst McCartin has seemed to regressed when I thought 2023 was gonna be an AA year for him prior to the head knocks.

Papley, Rampe, and Lloyd would be about the same. Whilst the others have improved. Florrent is interesting as he has improved up on the wing as opposed to half back

I think yeah anyone 25 and under is more developed, let's see if they learnt from it all

Spoken to quite a number of neutrals this week (>10). Whilst quite a few of them would like to see the Lions win, most are saying they won’t be able to run out the game. Many calling a bit of a blowout. Not one actually tipped the Lions. Maybe some of the Lions tips are more want rather than thinking they’ll win.

Ten Goal Joel?

Payne had 5 kicked on him against the Giants. Last week Henry kicked 4 on Payne and Henry also missed a shot from directly in front. He seems the weakest link against a mobile forward.

So Amartey could kick a few if we kick to him on a lead. Not just bomb it in.

Apologies if posted before but somethings afoot with Neale et al (pun intended)

Lachie Neale has needed heel injections in order to play this September. But today recevied atreatment on his calf/Achilles. He won’t miss the Grand Final for anything. But reckon we’ll learn more about how banged up he’s been at 6pm on Saturday night.

From the Lions’ den to the Tigers’ cage, Brisbane was in enemy territory today, training at Punt Road Oval. But a number of their stars are sore heading into Saturday’s clash while leaning on the disappointment of last year. Chief football reporter @cleary_mitch has the details.

McKenna has been listed in starting 22. Perhaps he's in and Answerth to sub. A change like that would suggest that the Lions are wanting more rebound off HB, perhaps suggesting they're concerned about how they will go from stoppage with Big O out.

Don’t get sucked in Swans.
The old chestnut carrying injuries into the game bullshit.
Some from both teams are but they are running games out the best.
