Mod. Notice Grand Final Tickets - Buy/Swap/Sell (Strictly Swans Supporters Only, READ OP BEFORE POSTING)

Hey Guys,

Because we have to put in our allocations for Grand Final tickets this week we thought we would start up a thread with a place for members to request barcodes and potentially tickets (if we make it that far).

I will create a list on this post for any posters that need a barcode or ticket to the game (the list will prioritise posters who have the most posts and have been a member of BigFooty for the longest).

A couple of rules.

1. Eligible posters must have at least 200 posts and have been a member of BigFooty for at least 6 months.
2. Financial members of the Sydney Swans Football Club will be given priority, though if you have a valid reason for not having a club membership (e.g. living interstate/overseas) you can still be eligible.
3. If you happen to have a spare barcode, what you choose to do with your extra barcode is entirely up to you, but we strongly suggest you follow the list order and/or stick to people that you know.
4. Barcodes can not be sold (only donated) and if we make the Grand Final, tickets must be sold at face value (If you scalp tickets for higher than face value, you will be banned).
5. I will not be going to Elsternwick Station on the morning of the Grand Final to recover Grand Final tickets sold to Hawks fans again.

Bonz, I don't fit the posts or 6 months member requirements but I have been a Swans member for 17 years. I desperately need 1 or 2 Cat 1 or 2 barcodes for my cousin and possibly her partner. I am going if Swans are successful in Prelim but will sacrifice my seat for her if this request fails and I cant obtain another ticket. I hope you can make an exception. cheers Juddy

We don't exactly have many barcodes to give away and we have several posters who are looking for barcodes who have been an active part of this forum for several years.

I know I'm coming in very late but have only just sorted logistics. I'm looking for 2 x Cat 2 barcodes to go with my 3 memberships I have so my full family can go if we make it through. I've only ever got 3 memberships due to the fact I'm usually chasing my 3 boys around Sydney of a weekend as they all play!!

Should I not attend, will let you guys know. Pretty short notice but I might just man up and watch the game solo, or might sell the ticket.

I already had booked flights last week, was gonna go with a group but I'm the Richmond of group (9th on the list and you can only register 8 at a time)
Got a few mates down there so it won't be too bad if I don't go, but left holding the baby now barefoot and pregnant (baby being the Grand Final ticket and no "husband" per se)

I sat by myself at the 05 and 06 games as I could only manage to get one ticket, as long as you are cheering for the same team as the people next to you everyone instantly becomes friendly!

Saying that the 12 Grand Final was pretty special being able to go with my old man which I would love to be able to repeat this year! If I don't manage to secure a couple of bar codes or tickets I think our only hope will be if it is an all interstate (which is a possibility with Port and Freo both looking alright, would love for them to knock Hawthorn out at prelim stage!) Grand Final when there is the slim chance they may allow restricted members access to the MCC through paying up the extra $200 or so.

so, no cat 3 codes at all? Will go ahead with the 2 I have for what it's worth, but for my mates sake, I really need to get his wife a ticket. On another note, IF we get tix, where in melbourne could we get a late room somewhere? 2012 I caught the overnight train down and back. Could do it again, but driving down is easier option with companions.

I already have a Cat 2 barcode but I am intrigued as to where I would sit on the list if I didn't (long time member - small time poster - ex mod - does that count for or against?)

I'm pretty sure it wasn't available for ALL membership types. So don't be so smug! We had to go on a waiting list for our WA memberships BEFORE the season even began. And I'm pretty sure that we asked about Premiership Club but were told it wasn't available with the release of more WA memberships.

I was a Vic member for a long time before moving to WA in 2004. What's pissing me off is that there are people on here that are getting barcodes for their cousin's teacher's dog who isn't even a member. And I can't get one all because of a post restriction. I'd like to see those cousin's teacher's dog's post counts
