Has Clarkson 'done his time'?

He's already been cleared by the AFL or not charged. I'm talking about the HRC, courts and other bodies. I don't know whether he has done anything wrong.
But in 2-3 years time when the case gets to the HRC, and Clarkson has already been sacked at North and/or has retired - if he is found to have done something wrong then, would the 8 weeks he sat out this year be considered punishment enough?

Not at all, there’s more to play out. Yiu may need to have a long lie down and let it play out
But that's kind of the point.

It will be like 3 years to 'play out' won't it? As I said, by that time North will probably have moved Clarkson on and he won't even be coaching anymore. If he is found to have done something wrong, there will be no punishment as he likely won't be in the game anymore anyway.

So in that event, is the 8 weeks he sat out any consolation?

Debbie Downer Doctor GIF by Team Coco

I’ve never been a big fan of second wind coaches coming in and attempting to be the messiah for a long suffering club.

Spose it worked for Matthews and Malthouse (the latter a third time it was disastrous), but I can’t think of too many others that have been a roaring success.

Definitely not for Carlton

If he is found guilty? Then no.

Consolation for what?

Well that's the premise of the OP.

His return to North is imminent it appears, and there will be no AFL punishment presumably.

So do people think the 6 weeks he has missed is as good as a punishment anyway?

If the gossip is true and he returns after the Hawthorn game, it will be an 8 week absence.

Anything North just bores me to tears within 90 secs.
Let them do whatever they want with coaches because no one gives a flying f..,,

I reckon if my IQ was 350 I still couldn't comprehend what you're on about. It seems you think we should punish Clarkson before we establish any guilt just in case he retires before any such guilt is actually established?
Yeah that's how I read it as well.

Consequently, the idea was quickly discarded.

I know he hasn't been suspended or stood down for anything, but the fact remains that he has been out of the game for about 6 weeks or whatever it is.

If Clarkson is guilty of 'wrongdoing' but never actually faces the music in terms of an AFL punishment - would people be content that the 6 weeks he missed is punishment enough?

Or does missing weeks, without any acknowledgement of wrongdoing or at least 'unintended insensitivity' mean nothing?

What music is he meant to be facing? If anything he needs to be compensated for unsubstantiated allegations causing him loss. Worse, the accusers refused to back up the allegations in a sham investigation designed to find him guilty.

Threatening to get the HRC involved for alleged workplace bullying is degrees of dumb s**t beyond imagining...

The alleged victims have every right to get the Human Rights Commission involved. Are you suggesting the alleged victims are ‘dumb’?
