Pointless IMO.

Bowes and 7 was a free hit at a rebuild boost.

6 and a player (and it would only be DGB, let's be honest) for a single 4 pick upgrade is a loss.

Bank a future third for Gunston.
Trade Mitchell for 27.
Bring in Meek with a current or future third.
Take 6, 24 and 27 into draft night.

It's about the best we can realistically hope for.
Yep this is what will play out, perhaps without meek.

Bloody underwhelming

big fish GIF

One day we'll get that big fish

If we cop some injuries and for argument sake finish bottom we miss out on the next big thing, Harley Reid… I don’t think we can afford to trade our Future first under any circumstances.. Just my opinion..

Thanks for all the laughs today was seriously entertaining stuff.
Get a feeling we got used for 'leverage' on this one.

Before anyone walks the plank, there is a reason the Cats are pushing hard this off season for younger players .
12-15 in the next few seasons will leave there team .
You cannot tell me Bruhn , Henry , Pick 7 will fill the Selwood , Danger , Hawkins , Cameron hole .

A few clubs might be questioning how the AFLs equalization policy can see the back to back spooner see a number 1 pick depart , while premier snags a top 10 pick in a salary dump .
Crazy times 😆

if rumours are true that Geelong is only paying him 400k per season to make up the 1.6m, then that is what salary dumping should not be about. To take on a salary cap dump, you should be paying them what their current contract is. If You want the perks you pay for it by honouring it.

Bowes obviously isn’t the brightest by agreeing to it. His manager is obviously incompetent for allowing it.
Or the remainder he is owed is conveniently tied up in sponsorship packages

Stuff you GCS - We are coming for Noah Anderson now.

A stacked midfield?

Wtf.
There‘s only 4 midfield spots available (centre, RR & Rover and 1 on the bench)

Jai, Moore, JOM & Worpel currently occupy those spots and Finn, Ward, McDonald & Pick 6 are next in line. That makes 8 and I’m not counting Titch or Nash.

Who exactly was Bowes or Pick 7 pushing out ? Nobody. Hardly panic stations.

Forgive me for been absolutely comfortable with how our midfield talent is tracking and for giving youngsters already at the club more games next year.

Neither Pick 6 or Pick 7 in this years draft is pushing out Jai, Moore, Jom, Worpel, Finn, Ward or McDonald from any game time next year. Only 4 of them get a gig each week, it won’t be Pick 6 or 7 unless there are significant injuries.

We have been one of the worst midfields in the comp for years now, we do not in any way have a stacked midfield...

OK, so to get this thread back on track... hahahahahahahahaha

GWS have 12 and 15 now. We should be making a play for one of them. Our future 2nd can be used as it will be eaten by a bid for McCabe, and we should be getting 27 for Titch.

24 and F2nd for 12 - leaves us with 6, 12, 27, 52, 65
or

List Mgt has many components it’s fair to say we draft well but trade poorly we need to bring someone better in that space into the club or risk missing our salary dump window. We simply must go after pick 3 for Whitfield or even 3 and 19 for Haynes. Help them keep hopper screw tigers in the process.

Who is Bowes, Pick 6 or Pick 7 pushing out for game time next year. Nice whine about previous years, my question is for next year.
You mentioned

Macdonald - Barely even rotated in to the midfield this year

Worpel - VFL this year

Nash - Improved as a player but hardly a world beater

Moore - will spend a ton of times as a half forward

Jaeger - Good leader but we were already pushing him out of the rotation this year

We have a really bad midfield, if you are arguing that i dunno what to even tell you
