Anything on Kelly?

The actual incident was not shown on the TV coverage. What you do see is Mzungu doubled over in pain and Freo's Clark remonstrating with Kelly, so putting two and two together I'd suggest a jab to the guts maybe.

What I couldn't get my head around is that Scarlett approached pavlich in the huddle to voice his displeasure at ballantynes alleged hit on chapman and pavlich didn't even react - like WTF, I would of been staggered if he had made it out of the hawks huddle without punches brim thrown or am I still living in the past.

The other thing that shat me was SJ seeking Bally out at the end of the game to shake his hand and then proceeded to prod him in the chest and verbal him . Again WTF where do the Geelong players get off.

They get off the bus Easter Monday night back in Geelong 0 - 2 :D

From what I was, Pods case will be thrown out, Scarlet gone (of course) and not sure about Kelly.

Hope P Larkins is wrong about Hodge. During half time I believe Hodge was saying he should OK for next week. So who do you believe?

pods will probably get off the report- nothing much in that but he should be in trouble for the Sandilands one- he had no eyes for the ball and clearly went straight for sandilands body with his knees, no wonder frankensteins monster was unhappy- reprimand normally but l think he has carry over points so 1 week.

Saw that - thought it was a really nasty, cowardly act.

Podsiadly is a dirty player. Kneed Renouf last year and is up to his old tricks again. Just dirty. I saw that incident with Sandilands and he's clearly gone in with knees to injure him. Hope he gets a week for rough conduct. Putting players out for months like he did to Renouf. Hope he gets whats coming.

According to the guru doc Larkin, hodge is another two- three weeks away

Ah, the Doc... Ask him how long it takes an egg to boil and he says 6-8 weeks.

Scarlett's just a real ordinary bloke ..... I love it (that he's gonna get rubbed out).... i'll never forget him mouthing off at Robert Harvey after his last game, everyone else was congratulating him and wishing him all the best.

I guess that depends on who you talk to. The version I heard was Harvey was sledging Bartel about his dad during the game (who has had nothing to do with Bartel for years), Scarlo overheard it, and said something to Harvey in response. After the game Scarlett walked up to Harvey to shake his hand and said something like "No hard feelings mate?" to which Harvey had a go at Scarlo. Of course, all that was seen was the two players arguing after the game and everyone just assumes that Scarlo was the cause of it.

In regards to Scarlo though, he must be getting angrier in his old age. He took a swing at Adam Cooney in our last practice match that probably would have earnt him a little holiday had there been cameras at the game, and now his brain snap last night. Hopefully he uses his enforced holiday to mellow out a bit, as he's no use to us sitting in the stands.

Round 1 GF rematch 2010 did Saints beat the Cats? my memory is not as good now days...:eek:

Nah, we played the Bombers in Round 1, 2010. The grand final replay wasn't until the middle of the season.

Hopefully gonna be another great contest, all the best for Monday.

Go Cats!

Well the cats pioneered rest and rotation didnt they ?

Scarlett and a couple of mates just get their rest earlier than expected

Note: we prefer pods to play to tweak our potential defensive unit for the finals.

Hodge and Roughy not ready. Rough back round 3 I predict, Hodge could be round 4. Gilham is still a good month away, will get fitness and form in the 2's. Puopolo? No idea.

In: Shiels, (Puopolo maybe)

Out: Bateman (hmmm no idea)

I really hope Savage gets another go, I'm not sure if Clarko believes he is in our best 22. I aint sure either but he has a lot of upside, after a good game on friday I hope he gets a good run in the 1's.

No way could I see Savage being dropped. I thought he was great Friday night & remember thinking that his body work at the contest had come on quite well. He was better than Bateman & no way Hodge or Shiels are going to take his place on the wing.

Bouman = no way out!!
Shiels = in
Bruest = out
Bateman/Suckling = next in line out
Poo = next in line in

There is no way suckling will be out of the side on friday night effort. I though Breust played an interesting game saw a lot of the defensive side. Quite a few tackles bumps and shepherds used his body a lot improved out of sight in that department. The goals will come :thumbsu:

Tackles and bumps only don't cut it for me....even if he kicks a couple of goals. For me, he is a great supersub, come on kick a couple of goals = great! Why not do it that way? Best 22 and playing 120 mins hmm just isn't screaming at me. I hope I'm wrong...

mate what i was referring to here was that he may have on coaches instructions been told to focus on those things play a particular role. He has been running through the midfield high half forwad quite a bit during the pre season maybe his role in the team for his development has changed in he short term.

Breust was dropped in the finals for his lack of effort and lack of defensive pressure, not because he didn't goals. The coaches have been about the defensive side to his game for a couple of years now. I'd say his performance on Friday night was exactly what the coaches wanted to see from him. A couple of goals would have been nice, but a new dimension was on show on Friday night, which aids the team. He'll be a much more complete (and dangerous) player if he keeps those efforts up.
