White is an excellent prospect and will take a seniors spot eventually. Gilbo still the best option.

Again Sinclair deserves a chance but Long should get one more.

Hickey or Holmes for Longer cant afford zero output and poor rucking. Either mediocre rucking and good general play (Hickey), or good ruckwork and less general play ( Holmes) as opposed to poor rucking snd poor general play ( Longer).

I think it's time Sinclair was given a go with Stevens .
I would go with ,

In - Sinclair , Stevens , Hickey, Rice

Out - Dunstan, Long , Gresham ( rested ) , Longer

I would rest Gresham because last week he looked tired and I assume the ground will be wet and heavy . Would like to see Rice get a game to see how he goes .

Nice to see a Saints player handballing to team mates in the clear. In the seniors we have too many players that just handball to the nearest St Kilda player irrespective of whether he can get tackled by an opponent or not.

Doesn't waste too many disposal, I ADVOCATE for him to get a run in the firsts, his delivery into fifty (as long as he lowers his eyes, like he did last week) would make my pants tight.

Gilbert is the past i get it, but he was good against the cats. One of the few that will charge a pack and break forward. I was happy to see him busting up a few packs in the middle when something had to be done. I wish Dunstan would talk a note from his book. Gilbert is needed this weekend.

Ok, so Longy's had his 2 game taste, time to manage him out and bring in Sinkers, and hopefully the Dogs will trade us a second rounder for him if we pay out year 2 of his contract.
Koby for Dunny who needs to be managed.
Longer gets to go again while Hickey is being managed.
Gilbert has had a pretty good season so far I reckon so I can't see why everyone wants to manage him. Those long arms of his are built for intercepting, punching, and tackling.

Why on earth would you willingly trade away Sinclair? If he gets some form he looks like he could be a very classy midfielder at top level...

Thanks for your input, always well thought out and constructive.

The idiocy of some people here amazes me. You'd rather play a 27 year old ruckman who is OOC at years end and has played 5 games in 3 years at the detriment of the development of a 24 year old who had one of the best rucking seasons in our clubs history only 2 years ago. And this isn't even a Longer v Holmes debate, by association you're also saying Holmes over Hickey.

I struggle to see how this is in any way helping the side in the long run. Whilst Holmes' is a great bloke he is clearly on the outer and the writing is on the wall with four ruckman on the list and all of them younger than him.

The feeling on this forum recently and some of the posts I've seen have been utter stupidity, we'd be going backwards if we did what some of the people here are suggesting.

It's clear that some have an agenda here. I am critical like others about Hickey's role in the side whilst the 3rd man up rule is in place and we've seen through four rounds that Hickey isn't coping with it. That's not an agenda, that's fact. What's also is fact is that Longer is the biggest bodied ruckman in the competition and the rule change would suit a player of his physique moreso than someone like Hickey. Longer has proven he can play well in his position, but to rule him out after one game is pretty poor...we've now seen a body of work in 2016 and 2017 from Tom that would suggest he wasn't coping well, and in match sim over the pre-season Longer was the better ruckman.

I don't care if it's Longer or Hickey in the ruck I just want us to win games of football and I want the best players in the best positions to be able to do that. What I have issues with is completely ruling them out after one game.
