I wasn't particularly keen on our chances after the way we finished on Saturday night but I'm slowly coming around, I think a lot of people are being blinded by the performance of Sydney against an insipid North Melbourne on Friday night, yes they were good and they will be very hard to beat this weekend but lets not forget they were beaten by Richmond in round 23 (I know Kennedy and Franklin didn't play) and had a hard fought win against Fremantle on their home ground, pretty sure Port beat both of those teams in the last two weeks also?

For all of this talk about Sydney's forward line well I would suggest we are better equipped to handle their forward line than they are to contain ours, Richard and Grundy are very vulnerable, we managed to beat them 8 weeks ago without our most important key back and Spangher, unless their midfield completely dominates like they were allowed to on Friday night then we are the ones who will be very hard to contain.

Lets rememeber that Sydney have to come to our home ground and perform on the big stage, players like Rohan and Cunningham are going to know they are in a contest this week unlike last when they were allowed to roam and do as they pleased.

Not at all tense as I felt in 2012 and 2013. I just really dislike Sydney felt like I've heard their entire lifestory the past decade or so. Everything about them just makes me squirm, Brett Kirk being a weirdo, Paul Roo's and his raging boner, the fascination with this fabricated 'Bloods Culture', Sydney in general, J(B)uda$, COLA, JPK etc. There isn't a single good thing I can say about Sydney. I guess their club song is OK The Kenny Williams fella is alright.

Port Adelaide are the form team of the whole finals. Completely destroyed Richmond - maybe not such a great reference point but truth is Richmond are not far from North's level.

Freo is the best reference point. Port annihilated Freo in the second half on Freo's own dung heap - toughest road trip in footy. Port beat Freo by 22 points away from home after giving them a 5 goal start. Sydney beat Freo by 24 points in Sydney. Based on the margins Port's performance against Freo is superior to Sydney's.
