What exactly has ossie done wrong ?

Nothing too great, but I dont think I'm alone in suggesting that father time is catching up with him.

He double-grabbed at balls today, and looks to have lost the edge in regards to his reflexes. He's made some uncharacteristic errors in the first 3 rounds.

Ozzie done wrong?

Butter fingers. He's lost the one touch skills that are important for a crumbing forward. Keeps dropping the ball when it comes his way. His efforts this season have been poor to mediocre, at best. For a small forward, he given zero in 2012.

Have always admired Ozzie, but his time has come to re-capture form at Box Hill.

For those asking, I wouldn't expect too much from Bruest for a couple of weeks. Remember how out of sorts Lewis was after his hit from Harbrow. No need to rush him back.

Hill to come in for Bruest, and Hodge to slip in somewhere.

Whats the go with that TM? He looked cherry ripe at training during the week and seemed to get thru the fitness test late in the week, yet, he doesn't play for BH.

Seems a bit strange to me.
the player, his coaches all wanted him to play, medico's decided have another week. He was right to go. HODGE WILL PLAY VS WEST COAST.

Breust has been ruled out.
Birchall has a knee injury and will not play and looks likely to miss a few.
Hodge will miss again

Boumann will come in as Kennedy, Darling, Lynch are monsters.
Broc is a certainty to come in if available
Smith and Poupolo will come in for extra run on that massive ground.

Changes as follows
Out Birchall, Breust, Young, Osborne
In Smith, Pup, Broc and Boumann.

cheers

Hey LMR,
Is there a link floating around that confirms all this?

In: Broc, Hodgey. Smithy (or Hill if Smith still not right)
Out: Breust, Ossie, Youngy

Tough ask after another 6 day break. Can't see us beating the Weagles over there but I live in hope. I shall place a curse on them by tipping the Hawks at the start of the week and then changing my tip on the Friday to the Weagles. That always screws me, yet I still consistently make last minute changes to my footy tips. Go figure.

They too have a 6 day break playing earlier today.

One could argue our early recovery will be better than theirs with them having the air flight now rather ours later in the week.

Will be an epic game.

In: Hodge, Puopolo, Broc
Out: Young, Breust, ???

Need the extra tall, but I don't think it's wise to drop two forward pocket players at the same time, given Puopolo won't be match fit yet. Ossie stays in courtesy of a bump on Breust's noggin.

Glad I'm not a selector.

Maybe Cheney to go out so we can bring in the extra tall.

Breust will play against the Coasters. May as well seeing as he is already there after getting knocked into next week.

Ins: Hodge, McCauley, Smith.

Outs: Breust (Concussion), Young, Osborne.

WhiteX has taken another step this year and has done so for the last few years. Looking very good.

Welcome back Stratts.

Schoey serviceable. Still got outbodied a few times but still made a few good spoils and a nice loud cheer for him when he outmarked Tippet. He also ran off nicely in the secong half and so whilst he was out bodied a few times he was able to help hurt the other way.

Cyril was a bit off todday but i think he got a knock on his leg early on. Will be fine for next week.

Don't like Buddy in the middle, he helped get it out a few times with strong work and taking 1 to 2 taklers and still getting the handball out but felt when he helped get it out the midfielders looked up to see no Buddy or Roughy and seemed a little lost where to go.

Roughy was great today. Like the new role for him around the ball and dropping back to defence as the big body. Game high 8 takles.

Would have liked to see Gunston do a little more today, especially after the most recent history with him and the Crows.

Nice to have a 10 goal win. WCE at home will be a huge test. Hoping Priddis and Rosa out. Kerr also not looking quite right either. WCE lost centre clearnaces to the GWS and have done so for the first 3 weeks against their opponents. If we can continue this trend it will go a long way towards helping us win.

Priddis won't be out. If the opponent was anyone else but GWS then Priddis, Glass and Rosa would have all played.

I actually thought Gunston did a hell of a lot. His hard leads to provide an option for the kick from half back were fantastic. He got overlooked on so many of them but if they had of been kicked to him he could have had seriously another 6-8 possessions. Some of his best work is when he doesn't have the ball imo.

Personally i would love to see Schoey on Darling, that would be a great matchup i think, even so Kennedy wouldn't be too bad either since he is more of a leading forward and not a monster.

first test of the season for us - hope buddy gets off - but who knows with the match-wheel-of-made-up-on-the-spot-review-panel these days.

"today 1+1=4"

whatever shit they come up with should be read out by john cleese to highlight the ridiculousness off it.

really looking forward to this - i think for both teams it will show where we are at -if it was in vic or tas id go the hawks - but at subi im going the eagles

Ins:
Hodge (will he be fit?)
McCauley (need the fella back for the big Weagles ruck)
Smith (need more run!!)

Outs:
Osborne (Sorry to say, but it's time for a stint at Box Hill. Butter fingers to the max of late.

Don't know about the rest?

Savage? Maybe just to get Hodge into the side? Done nothing wrong.

Cheney? Turn over city in the first quarter against Adelaide, but improved. Deserves another game, you'd think.

It's great that there's an issue with trying to fit so many deserved players into the team!!

I wasn't sold on Young's game and he woud be the first swap if we bring back Broc to compete with NicNat and Cox.

But you need lots of fit runners for Subi, so who knows how we will set up?

Youngy's greatest strength was his kicking yet for some reason (leg injuries perhaps) he cannot pin point a target or kick a goal anymore to save himself. If his kicking is no longer working he has no spot.

Schoey is like a grade prep kid playing kick to kick with the grade sixers at recess. Out of his depth. SOS Gilham and Boumann...

Xavier injured again yesterday with Box Hill.

Birchall and Breust injured and will not play is my mail.

Boumann is not as good as Shoey at body contact positioning. I would say Shoey is stronger in the body than Boumann at present.

It would be pretty ordinary to bring JBo back for this game. You gotta give the new guys a break and ease them into the big-time. Plus I think they are suspect of JBo's tank so hopefully that is why he is not playing.

Another big week for Schoe, lining up on Kennedy. Has any player in the league had to face such high quality opponents four weeks in a row?

I agree Ossie hasn't been at his best this year, but in view has contributed. I'd be surprised with Bruest out that we would drop Ossie. His agression is ceratinly required up forward.

Too early to try and work out changes but it will be great when Hodge and Puopolo return to the side. Savage with a freshen up was a good move, and Smith's run would be handy.

Will be an interesting match committee meeting this week I think.
