Voted - Gowers, Sill, Liu, Hudson.

I still have reservations about the present board members allowing Jeff to shoot his mouth off unchecked - but I think Hudson's qualifications are good for the board as is the gender diversity remaining as is - further incremental board regeneration can happen next year and ongoing under the Gowers tenure.
Voted the same but Merlino over Hudson.

As someone mentioned, she was a proxy between H4C and HFC and now they aren't prioritising her which is telling.
Plus we need funding for KCC and Merlino is a good strategic pick in my mind.

Katie Hudson was appointed by the Board to be the go between, between the HFC and H4C. The fact that H4C are not endorsing her says something. That is all I will say on the matter.
The only board member H4C had was Silk, who has now changed sides. Maybe Katie did her job too well! That is all I will say on the matter.

I know a lot here don’t like Jeff, whether your a left wing lunatic or right wing, liberal or labour. But, I reckon we would be shooting our selves in the foot I’d we vote against the board endorsed people. Like Jeff says, Gowers has offered no improvements or point of difference to the current board, who by the way have got Hawthorn in the best position it has ever been. It just seems a political conflict to be honest. The Hawks for change don’t like Jeff and I believe it would be a huge mistake voting these guys in.
I dont like Jeff either.

Used to, not any more, nothing to do with politics. He even admitted his belligerence cost us millions, **** him.

My wife and I just voted for Gowers. I think it's the first time I've ever voted

Completely disregarding the club constitution - is this more of that good governance we have been hearing all about? Really disgraceful.

Jeff totally ignored the limited terms for presidents part of the articles, a part an earlier version of himself was adamant was needed and had assed to the articles

He also floated a major move to Tassie, again against the articles

So if Nank loses, does he remain a director? Obviously if Gowers comes in, there’s one too many, or does the situation allow an increase of one?

Or do the number of directors taken from the second lit depend on who wins presidential vote

Na I just appreciate where the club is at off the field. Never been in a better position. Jeff is polarising, but so what. He has Hawthorns interest at heart at all times. Rather some one like him in charge to stand their ground against all the crap that gets dished around these days. Hope your not one of the morons that say we should park “the family club “ moniker all because of
Unfounded malicious accusations that happened 8 years ago that no one had ever known about. Funny that
Re “Unfounded malicious accusations that happened 8 years ago that no one had ever known about.”

I was told first hand by a person involved in all this, in 2016. Sat down for 2 hours, not all about the accusations but what I heard is the same you have read and a more I won’t elaborate on.

Two other non-Indigenous players, and highly respected people, I spoke to also weren’t flattering of aspects of the football department hierarchy. One of those players by any definition was looked after incredibly by the club when an earlier amicable decision would have been a logical retirement.

Still haven’t received voting email from the club. Definitely not in my junk folder either. Looks like I’ll have to call the club Monday morning.
