Please don’t bring Barrett’s sliding doors rubbish here. That’s not the Hawthorn footy club in the media.

That’s a desperate article, trying to get clicks every week.

Feel it's a bit of a shame we're doing this with Sam already. I appreciate the love for him but I still think Kane is underrating the playing group and putting too much on the coach, similar to all those years with Clarko.

The comment about having "nice" players but not stars is a bit strange, considering he mentioned Butters as a star for Port when no one but the most one eyed Port fan would have seen this year coming from him at the start of the season. JHF and Wardlaw as well, could be stars but a lot riding on potential. Reckon Newc and Day have as high a ceiling as any young players in the comp.

Eh, he’s been ok recently, and clearly respects Sam. However his critique of us wasn’t just 3-4 years ago, it was last year. He said we had “no young talent”, our only good players were 28yo and older, and “Sams been set up to fail as a coach” because we had the “worst list in the comp”.

I took little notice then, and take little notice now.

Right now we’re just a convenient foul for him. If he runs out of viable targets elsewhere he’ll be back in a flash.

Kane openly admits to taking his cues from the US cable news guys.

Stories are biodegradable for him. He’ll be your friend when it suits him, and then your tormentor when it doesn’t.

He’s not a journalist, he’s an entertainer.

Fox footy report today ……… no mention of the young gun that was BOG. Makes you wonder whether they watch the game!

In the votes

Young guns Jai Newcombe (28 touches), Will Day (27 disposals), Dylan Moore (25 possessions, two goals) all had big days out in the midfield, while Mitch Lewis was a force up forward with four goals. Skipper James Sicily had 32 touches and 12 marks, but faces multiple weeks on the sidelines for a dangerous tackle that concussed Lion Hugh McCluggage.

Whoever runs the foxfooty instagram stuffed up this morning. Posted a photo of Hawks after a loss and questioning if we're tanking :tearsofjoy:

Perhaps a scheduled post that someone forgot to deactivate lol.

Even the comments from neutral supporters were scathing of the stupidity.

Since deleted.

I reckon it was pre scheduled, banking on a loss.

The print media side of Fox Footy that does all their social media is really poor, and generally just rehashes stuff that’s been said by panelists on Fox Footy or Footy classified.

My expectations of anything coming from the Fox Footy Pages is very low.

I don't fancy any of those potential external-CEO candidates they put forward in the article. I don't know who I want, but I don't want anyone from the Dogs, Freo, Gold Coast, Essendon or Geelong. We seem to be humming along pretty well with our acting CEO. I would be happy to see our current performance continue.

If it's someone external, I think I would like to see a candidate from Sydney or Richmond. They seem like well-run clubs. Low on drama, high on football. I would put Geelong on that list as well but seeing as we poached our last CEO from them, I think it would be nice to get one from somewhere else. Maybe someone from one of thee championship NBL teams? Who is run well there? Sydney Kings?
