Hi there everyone.

Finally calmed down after doing my block after that narrow lost to the AFL assisted hawks.

I can see a little light down the end of a very long dark tunnel in terms of improving next year and beyond but there are some list holes that need filling to become a genuine force.

1. A rebounding fullback with good ball skills, Brown, Frost are inept and our biggest concern. Not much in backup, Keefe have little faith in
2. Another key forward to assist injury prone but potentially gun forward in Moore, White and Cloke are not going to move us up the ladder despite Whites improvement late, Cloke most likely gone anyway.
3. Small forward that can kick 40 plus a year, Blair with his dozen goals a year doesn't cut the mustard. Elliot may not come back and Fasolo is not really a small forward

The midfield looks promising with guns in Treloar, Pendles and Sidebottom and the likes of Crisp, Adams and Wills forming a pretty potent outfit.

Need continually improvement from Aish and hopefully Sharenberg and Ramsay to get a good run at it.

Thoughts?

What about Crocker?

Mobile key back with good disposal.

Crumber

Power forward.

Clearance specialist midfielder.

Small defender.

Might get 2 of 5 this off season only.

We need quick skilled mids first and foremost but we could also use a tall back, a tall forward a few flankers and a coach and president with the balls to admit error and appoint said coach or just f. off out of the decision making and concentrate on being the president not the football department head.

Was going to say, you get all of those and you're shining the cup!

One down back and one down front and we should have no excuses for cracking the 8 (assuming the injured return in full flight).

I'm a bit of a Paul Roos fan. Build the defense then plan the attack.
Our back 6 are shambolic. We are relying on a man who's injuries have restricted his on field time over the last few years to hold the 6 together. Oh for the direction of a Shaw.
We need better backline players, or our coaches to bring in our current stocks faster.
Our forward lines would be our next rebuild.
Elliot may never play again. And if he does, who could blame him if it's a choice of go for the speccy, or not end up in a wheelchair? Not me.
Faz I think has now become brittle thinking his shoulder is going to be damaged with any contact.
Love Trav, want him to be a Pie for life, but his best is behind him and we know his conversion is suspect.
Sign Boomer for a year and dump the midget. PLEASE.
Good to see that Sanderson is signed sealed and delivered in the coaching ranks, though everyone is not confirming this.
This will be our actual step forward. New and better coaching/fitness/skills coaches.
It will cost us in the AFL tax, but we exist to win Premierships and we are failing.
Hawthorn pay the tax and are not failing.
Compare the pair.

Keefe will be more than handy when he gets back. You need tall 200cm athletic types down back these days. The stay at home power forwards are almost extinct.

It will be interesting to see what Keeffe has to offer after his long break, but we'd want better options than Brown or Frost - they are liabilities with ball in hand..
