i did put it in, and it zoomed in on the shopping centre one

the contract tracers are now local, are using Safesforce, and are numbered in the thousands. sh*t bagging them for not doing a triple check on every address to make sure there is no possible duplicate is just stupid, and it an attempt to blame some poor sod for something even Epping locals say is an understandable mix up.

I know you're frustrated, but blaming this on the tracer when we dont even know if the contact happened at that site is unfair to them, and an unrealistic expectation.

If you want perfect tracing, we need to models used in Singapore/Taiwan/Korea, which have major privacy issues (mainly because it gives the govt all of your phone data)

It's a major **** up which ever way you want to spin it, that has played a big part in this outbreak and lockdown why wouldn't we be pissed, and has now ****ed businesses and people again. It is not gold standard, especially when i heard a lady yesterday say she was advised she was to get tested and isolate due to being at the g, problem being she was never at the G and at a wedding no where. the lady at the G issue is due to some of the heroes here

people have been putting fake phone numbers into the contract tracing app, and apparently many people were called yesterday for being at the MCG or Marvel who were never there. they got called because some idiot used their number when they entered the ground

thats not the fault of contact tracing, its the fault of the heroes on here who bragged about putting fake numbers in

It has been a mantra from all levels of government and health officials for over a year now, and it’s been entirely consistent- if you have symptoms, however mild, get tested and isolate until you produce a negative.

The last Vic lockdown was littered with selfish pricks who weren’t at home when called on after testing positive, or went to Orbost pubs and baitshops from Melbourne whist awaiting results, or drove across town to their favourite McDonalds...

It’s really not hard to do the right thing here.

Except of your someone with allergies then you aren’t going to rush out and get tested every time you get a sniffle. I’ll be honest I was crook over Christmas, with zero cases for weeks I put it down to allergies.

By the time the cases were known is recovered anyway and know it definitely wasn’t Covid. But the government is absolutely kidding themselves if they expect people to run and get tested every 5 minutes. When you know your body you know it’s normal.

BUT if you think it’s allergies and then a site you go to suddenly becomes an exposure site, absolutely you’d get tested just in case.

Not really, he had a serious injury and he isnt the type to skulk at home. He is a hardworker and attention seeker so if he was fit, he would be front and centre blaming everyone else and calling statewide lockdowns on a whim (note, not attacking last years lockdown which was needed given the scale of the second wave he caused and the terrible state of the Vic Govts tracing teams)

They're supposed to call 50,000 people from the footy and have half an hour with each of them about their movements over the last 2 weeks.

50,000 people at half an hour each is 25,000 hours. 18 waking hours in a day (no point calling people at 2am). They'd need 1,400 contact tracers just to get through that in a day. Even divide that figure by 10 to isolate to the bays those people are in, it's still a lot of contact tracing to be done.
