Not a bad person, but certainly guilty of bad judgement. There will most likely be criminal charges against council and possibly state govt people coming out of this.

Slug-Gate is probably the most unbelievable, disgraceful thing I've heard about going on in this country in recent decades that didn't involve physical harm. The corruption is staggering. It's compelling listening. My jaw dropped every time each unbelievable nugget was revealed. I'm very disappointed it hasn't got more coverage.

I had my test on Wednesday (had fever, sore throat, headaches all week), and this is what happens (process has changed from last year):

1) you have to show your medicare care or photo drivers licence

2) you also have to register online now (if possible). Links a unique number to your medicare number, and contains your contact number, address, and name.

3) they ask for your reference number, and confirm your details before you leave

4) they reconfirm all details before giving you your test

5) you receive an email immediately after thanking you for your test, and a text message thanking you for your test. Both direct any questions to the DHHS website

6) if negative you get a text message (mine from Melb Pathology). The text is completely different to this one:

NSW has said that it does not match any of their genomic sequencing and the ACT is investigating if it got out of their area.

At this stage every theory has a chance of being correct.

This is probably a case of keeping this to themselves until they were sure 100% on how and if this was a different variant, i get people will say if they didn't say we would be in trouble, it took them a couple of weeks to confirmed they were all linked back to the SA case, so they could have just done the same, kept their powder dry.

i wonder if what has occurred with the false positive and the narrative behind ( the beast ) it forced their hand.

For what it's worth, my friend had a test on new years eve and the text was identical to the golfer.

But they still have 8 more cases of unknown contact (other than those two they used as an example).

The stranger to stranger ones are more important than family transmission because it implies more people might be also infected and have no idea about it.

Only 70% of North Melbourne Primary School students/contacts have been tested so far and it's been over a week and there has been a transmission, so there's a good likelihood there's another family full of infected people who haven't come forward.

Well if they keep getting mystery cases and "fleeting" contact, and people don't get symptoms, where does that leave us?
