Was never Dans call. Another fu** up by Scomo if they let them in.
It is actually both their calls. Under current rules unvaccinated players could play in Sydney but not in Melbourne.

You can see what will happen. They will both end up allowing them to play but blame the other one for allowing to happen.

And on this occasion, I’d be in the corner of the people against mandates. This country wants to be “tough” with mandates - threatening businesses with huge fines for not complying - and then as soon as dollar bills are dangled in front of them, they drop their pants in a heartbeat.

Lucky for Dan he’s got a clear majority and enough morons to pass anything in the upper house. Greens will vote for anything Dan proposes and if Dan promises to allow dogs an extra 5 minutes of daily walking then the Animal Justice dickhead will bend over. Or maybe Dan can give his sons job as well?

Someone put my mind at ease.. is this pandemic Legislation in Victoria pretty much the same thing other states have? Or is it different?

“Death wasn’t caused by Covid, the person died with Covid, in circumstances that weren’t related to Covid ”

Why are they counting it as a Covid death?

Dont think they mention the cause.
I think it’s due to generally a lack of medical professionals to determine “cause” of death so they have been counting those who die while in covid positive timeframe (14 days post diagnosis) and that most are going to be related to complications of covid; individual cases like this will be publicised and yes statements get made that it is a death with covid not of covid. Realistically you don’t want to waste too much medical time into the already dead (with our limited resources)

They're all pretty much the same same, implemented slightly differently, what no other state has is what this sack of shit is trying to pass as permeant legislation so he can keep control.

Do you know of any specific differences? Seems to be getting a smashing on Twitter tonight.

From the small amount Ive read in articles and papers relating to it, they're basically the same across the states, we have a CHO who gives direction under the health and wellbeing act, NSW gives public health orders through its health minister Hazzard, other states I'm not sure what the legislation is called that gives them the powers but from what I know it's basically the same.

There is absolutely no reason why any of this needs to be legislated, no body should have that power just to use willy nilly when they feel like it. And you know he's purely legislating it so he can make vaccination a permanent thing, including the passports and excluding the unvaccinated.

But they have to follow CHO directions like everyone else.

We either have a vaccinated economy, or we don't.

I have noticed a few a places where you could dine in last week but now they have packed all their tables and chairs away. I think they don't want the hassle of managing the vaccine mandate rules. On Sunday lunch we wanted to eat in but went home instead.

Supposedly the CHO won’t be part of any decision making…

Yeah that's why he's writing it into legislation, instead of needing a state of emergency declaration that then gives unprecedented power to the chief health officer, that power will now be transferred to the premier written into legislation and he now can do as he so pleases. All about the science apparently.

Hopefully this amendment gets through.

This lying campaigner of a Premier doesn’t need any additional powers to impose his social engineering bullshit disguised as ‘public health‘ on us. He has frightened and decimated the state enough. Most are worn out from his 18 month reign of incompetence and calamity. Vaccine passports, ongoing booster shots, vaccination economy, maintaining your green tick, mandates, jab or no job(for how ****ing long!!!) are terms that should send shivers down your spine especially when it comes out of this social misfit‘s mouth. We’re going to be 90% double vaxxed in around a month ffs, possibly the most vaccinated city in the world. Instead of leaving us alone then he still wants to impose, intrude and continually disrupt our lives for the foreseeable future. You can’t keep calling covid 19 a public health emergency forever Dan. It seems only in Victoria and no where else in the world is this sort of government overreach occuring.
