There are 2 Bailey Humphreys. The highly touted one and an extremely speculative one from the Outer East FL who plays for Warburton.
On the money.

I read somewhere that Brisbane are negotiating with North for pick swapsWe should not be trading pick 6 anymore despite me saying we should consider it previously. Our best result is to get another second round early pick and add George. That would take our f2 though. Lions 35,36 a no brainer if they don’t do that assuming we don’t get a godfather offer then heads should roll. Take at least 6,24,35,36 and hopefully add 19 or 22
North don't have picks for that. only 2,3,23 & 40I read somewhere that Brisbane are negotiating with North for pick swaps
My guess would be the first announcement of pick swaps will be when Ashcroft bid arrives. It will be interesting to know if there's any handshake agreements on pick swaps that just haven't been announced yet and not just with us but any clubs. If there has been some more deals done does anyone know when they will likely be announced? I assume day 1 of the draft.
Really hope we've been all over any pick swaps to maximise our hand. Either way there's not long to go now.My guess would be the first announcement of pick swaps will be when Ashcroft bid arrives.
I'm sure there'd be some out there, pick swaps is closed until draft night so expect a few to come out then. I just hope we're in the mix somewhere. It will be interesting to know if there's any handshake agreements on pick swaps that just haven't been announced yet and not just with us but any clubs. The deal proposed is for North to give pick 40 for a future 3rd and a later pick this year to help with a bid for Harvey. North are only going to use 2, 3, and 23 live then match a Harvey bid.North don't have picks for that. only 2,3,23 & 40
I think 14 is a little too far off the top 10 for my liking. Saints pick would still be OK, Blues just, or even Dogs I could handle as someone hopefully slides out of the top 10. But 14 is a little too far. It would want to be a damn good offer. Which I guess three 1sts would be, even though the best of them is likely 14. But still. There is a fair drop of talent from pick 6 to pick 14. Not sure I'd go for Jefferson, but if he was best available there then there's not much choice. Maybe grab Allen, the father/son we never had? I'd almost do that. Will Dees trying to move up & reportedly offering 2 F1s + others for 3/4/5. I am sure they will come calling for pick 6 on draft night
Melb 13 + their 2 F1's(likely to be late teens) & a swap of their 37 with 63( as others would have been upgraded to 35,36) should be starting point in any discussion for our pick 6.
13 should get us Jefferson & we can then try and put our F2 on block to get pick 19+31 from GWS

With our future 1st along with Freo's and Demons, we could make an assault on GWS with our future 2nds. No need for future 2nds when we have three 1sts then match McCabe. 18, 19, future 3rd and 4th (to match McCabe) for our two future 2nds and our later picks this year so they can match a bid for Rowston in the 20's. If we did that then we could grab Jefferson at 14, and Allen at 18 (I can't see WC taking him higher than 20). George at 19 unless we get a great offer of futures to move back or give it up. Then still have 24 to play with. Keep a pick in the 40's to get Vickery.
Or... do you sell the future 2nds to the Suns who will look to sell off their 1st next year? Could end up with four future 1sts... Ours, Suns, Freo's and Demons. Could then package the Freo and Demons picks to move up a bit. Three quite early 1sts, then match a bid for McCabe lol.
If only 14 wasn't so far away from the top 10 lol.
I said we should hold 6 now but you have to do that deal if offered, if it is sliding from 6 to 13 plus 2xf1. If just 2xf1s then tell ‘em they’re dreamin! I wonder if dees have their sights on suns f1 with their 2 f2s and that is why they are prepared to trade out of the first round in such a strong draftThat North move makes sense with the news today of Shiels signing with them as rookie.
I am more interested in Demons deal if its 13 + 2 F1s. Then we can bundle both F2's for 19+31 and then trade the lions picks of 35,36 for F3's.
GWS has pick 57 to match for Rowston who is likely to go in the 40's
2022- 13,19,24,31,63
2023 - 3 f1s + F3's/F4s would be perfect for next yr.
They are desperate. Yet supposedly so are we.How desperate are the Saints to get Tsatas?
As it stands it seems like this is how the draft will go:
Essendon - Phillipou
GCS - Humphrey or Ginbey
Hawks - Tsatas
Geelong - Clark
WCE - Ginbey or Humphrey
Saints - Mackenzie
But if Saints are real desperate for Tsatas we could trade back and potentially gain another good pick in next year's draft, and still end up with someone like Mackenzie or Clark (should Geelong take Busslinger).

Just take him at 6 and try and improve our position with the later picks.
If it's me, I've already banked pick 6.
Yeah I'm the other way. We've got enough F2s next year. I'd consider it for a F1 only.We are desperate for Tsatas?
If he's available and they are offering a F2 then I'd be all for it. Provided there are no curveballs from the clubs we'd most likely be able to draft Mackenzie.
If there are any curveballs then we may be looking at Mackenzie or one of the other touted top 10 players.
Going into next season with three second rounders could be huge if we want to move up the order.
same and I will trade the F2(WB) back to get that F1Yeah I'm the other way. We've got enough F2s next year. I'd consider it for a F1 only.

They are. They would trade the F2, but Dodo asked for the F1.Three second rounders gives us more potential to not only move up, but to still be able to draft with a second rounder. Doubt Saints are that desperate though.

Agree with looking to add more f2 picks if we still get a player we rate this year. Gold Coast f1 will be available dees have 2xf2s and will be keen. Other thing to consider with suns is that they have 9 2023 picks already with a tight list so we could really help them with taking fringe players for salary dumps, their f1 and Later picks for our f2s to reduce the need for open list spots etc. hoping we are already on this given the missed opportunities this year.F1 for either of our F2's then, make it happen
I would prefer the melb F1 come directly to us instead of them trading it for 19.Melb trade their F1 to GWS for 19
Melb F1 Tied to Freo to Hawks, Melb 13 to Hawks, Pick 19 to Hawks
Hawks pick 24 and Pick 6 to Melbourne.
Overall...
- Hawthorn get Freo F1, Pick 13 and Pick 19
- Melbourne get Pick 6 and Pick 24
- GWS get Melbourne F1
-----
- Hawthorn lose Pick 6 and 24
- Melbourne lose x2 F1 and Pick 13
- GWS lose 19
Not sure Melbourne does it but I could get on board with another first next year.
