Think its a break for sure - He was holding his lower arm when he went off

Not necessarily. I've fractured both my wrists and was practically doing the same thing Jones was doing both times. The Jones injury looked very similar how I did the 2nd fracture of my wrist.

I had my cast on for 4 weeks the 1st time for what it's worth. 2nd time I had a half cast on because it was a bit higher on the arm and was back playing within a couple weeks, but had my wrist strapped so tight that I couldn't feel my arm and struggled to pick up the ball with that arm.

It was quite visible when it happened. Should have been kicking in danger but no. Tbf it was in a pack. Broken bone in forearm.

wow that hurts badly

So Jones, TOB, JJ and Richards all out for extended period and all defenders

And any hope of getting Crozier to assist is gone for season also I would say.

Jones 10 weeks is almost season should we not play finals.

I honestly think we have no choice but to play Naughton back now. If it was only a month for Jones then we could make do with spare parts.

10 weeks requires a significant investment in the backline. If we roll with our current crop of key defenders in their current form with injuries to JJ & Richards (and depth options in O'Brien & Crozier), finals will slip away very quickly.

Our injury list has gone from one of the better ones in the league a couple or so weeks back. To losing 5 defenders on long term injuries just like that. Brutal

In 'some' positive news, Darcy, Bedendo & Garcia are all listed as tests for the following week. Unfortunately Richards is tracking to the longer term bracket of his injury.

Sam Darcy (jaw) – Test
Riley Garcia (groin) – Test
Dom Bedendo (groin) – Test
Ed Richards (hamstring) – 3-4 weeks
Harvey Gallagher (finger) – 3-4 weeks
Jason Johannisen (hamstring) – 4-5 weeks
Toby McLean (lower back) - 4-6 weeks
Tim O’Brien (hamstring) – 8-9 weeks
Liam Jones (forearm) - 8-10 weeks
Hayden Crozier (hamstring) – 8-10 weeks
Roarke Smith (foot) – Indefinite
