I thought he broke his ribs the week before. That's quite the recovery.

Latest from Med Rm
Josh Bruce (ribs) – test
Harvey Gallagher (hamstring) – test
Adam Treloar (hamstring) – 1-2 weeks
Dom Bedendo (groin) – 4-5 weeks
Roarke Smith (foot) – 3-5 weeks
Riley Garcia (groin) – 3-5 weeks
Sam Darcy (lung) - TBC
Agreed - they might as well put available next to his name given the VFL have a bye this week, so it'll be good to see him in under 2 weeks time.Very excited to see what Gallagher can do.
Treloar being back for the Cats game would be huge.Latest from Med Rm

Are you able to expand on this diagnosis, What causes a small hole on the lung?Spontaneous pneumothorax is most common in tall thin young men. Best wishes to Darcy, that must suck.

Really concerned for Sam, what sort of time frame to naturally heal?
Seriously? Again?Agreed - they might as well put available next to his name given the VFL have a bye this week, so it'll be good to see him in under 2 weeks time.
It’s a joke, it’s quite likely when Tassie join and presumably their 2s join the VFL like the other eastern states were only going to have 4 clubs out of a 19 team league playing in a different seconds league. At that point we really need to consider the benefits of a national 2nds competition where byes mirror the AFL side and every team faces off against same opposition in seniors & 2nds ie if we’re playing WC away our 2nds play WCSeriously? Again?
What the * is the VFL fixture?
Not really surprising but unfortunate news:
Exactly.10 weeks, no surgery. Same injury like he had in 2016 just the opposite leg. Here's hoping he returns for round 21 and kicks the winning goal against Richmond.
I wouldn't take any note of those updates. Geelong's approach is the best and I feel most teams will move towards their style of grading the severity of injuries. It's simple and it doesn't require a time frame. It avoids the unnecessary false hope too which is important.Man Bedendos year is just a write off, has not moved in weeks and still 4-5 away,
Real shame

What's JJ's replacement though?Happy they have listed Treloar as a week away, even if he could play. Just let him recovery and be fit for bye run at Marvel.
Smith, Bedendo and Garcia have made next to no progress for a month now. If we decide to have heavy list turnover this year, Smith is all but guaranteed to be gone, and Bendendo would want to produce some decent form in the VFL on his return as Bigfooty hype won’t be enough to get re-signedFor those who haven't seen it yet:
Injury list
Josh Bruce (ribs) - available
Harvey Gallagher (hamstring) - test

Roarke Smith (foot) - 3-5 weeks

Riley Garcia (groin) - 4-6 weeks
Jason Johannisen (hamstring) - 8-10 weeks

OP is a tricky one to accurately set a timeframe for. Really unfortunate for him, but taking a longer term view is more important for an injury like this.Man Bedendos year is just a write off, has not moved in weeks and still 4-5 away,
Real shame
Harvey Gallagher come on down. What's JJ's replacement though?
Doubt they bring in VDM. Suspect it might be Caleb back and someone into the middle... hopefully not McComb
Eemventually, hopefullyHarvey Gallagher come on down.
