North Melbourne captain Brent Harvey is in doubt for the club’s must win match against the Bulldogs on Sunday after injuring his thumb against Collingwood.

Scans have revealed a bone fragment has been dislodged from his left thumb. Surgery will not be required at this stage. Harvey’s progress will be monitored throughout the week.

Doesn't look good for this week.

Harvey actually being named as thrown a spanner in the works. I don't know if I actually believe that he will play... Can't decide whether to:

A: Play Harvey, with T. Lynch as the emergency should he not play, and therefore if another fwd also withdraws i'm stuffed.

B: Play Mzungu (mpp swap with leaving Harvey out) thus Lynch an emg for all fwds.

I think Mzungu should outscore Lynch, but on other hand don't want to miss a good Boomer score should be play...

I don't believe Harvey will play. They said they'd give him until the last minute to decide. Could very well be a late withdrawal.

Not sure it is 14 weeks with 6 suspended.
They may have meant that after 8 weeks he can play in the 2s for the next 6 weeks before returning to the 1s?
