I think it is more he doesn't want the points hanging over his head. Look at Dawes, an accidental hit has turned into a 1 game suspension due to a SHIT tribunial decision + +90 points from last year.

Yeah out for 12+. Damn annoying because the backs are my weakest point and he is a semi unique rookie so most people won't be affected and are making money out of Smith, Batchelor etc. I guess he just sits on the bench for the year now
