Beats our 2013 preseason

A certain NRL player likes this post.

Maybe this is what Kane Lucas meant when he said there may be a position in the midfield.

As for Selwood, I think its time we move him to defense because his body isn't holding up in the midfield. Will allow him to run in straight lines and put less stress on those feet.

I really don't like him in defense, he is terrible at spoiling in the air. Play any mid sized marking player on him and he will chop him up. In games he has been taken back there while tagging he has trailed in at every contest and got nowhere near with his spoils and given away free kicks. Might change with training but we have much better options back there

Or it's just bad luck keyser. Sometimes people just get injured and even the best medicos can do nothing about it.

Yes sometimes people just get injured and its just bad luck that it happens - Yeo's broken hand and Lecras broken arm are examples of this

The concern I have is that from an outsiders perspective it seems to me that its the management of injuries that have been an issue at times with Scott Selwoods ankle being the most recent example where his rehabilitation hasn't gone smoothly

Yeah, LeCras' another one. Played him when he couldn't tackle because his arm wasn't right. He was letting opposition players waltz straight past him. We should have been giving a kid a run.

I think our team doctors really need to be questioned. We have has so many occurrences of a player coming back too early for a meaningless game only to set them back in the pre season and cause problems throughout the whole year. I'm getting sick of it

You don't miss games of football to get ready for pre season.
You do a pre season to get ready to play footy.
If you can play footy you always will play.

I have never until the last year on this board heard of players need to miss footy to get ready for pre season.

Bit like a golfer pulling out on day 4 of a tournament to get ready for a pro-am the following week.

Just stupid on every level.

Yep almost died reading that.

Saw the article on AFL.com and had a heart attack dreading it was Lycett or McGovern.

Less concerned that it turned out to be Sinkers
(sorry Doughboy )

nnnooooooo. Not the man mountain

It's OK, he has 9 others to maintain his silky smooth taps to advantage

Selwood was clearly not ready to play football...

Selwood coming back early was completely pointless, but Yeo was the most ridiculous one.

Only thing he needed to do was avoid contact to his broken hand, and what do the genius's at WC get him to do? Boxing. FML

Predicting a 'Waters or Lecras falling onto a pile of feathers" scenario in the coming weeks.

DAMN YOU INJURIES!!!!!!!! LEAVE US ALONE!!!!!!!!! PICK ON SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though I would really love to see how we go in a season with minimal injuries, particularly to top 25 players.

So would every team, extremely rare to not have 3-4 of your best few out most weeks during any season.

Most of these injuries seem minor (i.e. no ACLs) but they're still worrying, lets hope post-Christmas we hear less news about injuries.

"Nasty break"?
Assholes.
Also thought of Lycett or Mcgovern breaking a leg.
Sinclair will recover early new year so it won't set him back much.
