Mid East Israel declare war after Hamas attack III

When you only ever really post defending one sides actions, ignoring their multiple war crimes, and all the horrendous things they’re doing, some would say that seems a lot like ‘taking a side’.

But HTW has no moral compass. It’s up to the courts. Now the ICJ has a ruling maybe he’ll know what he things.

Right on cue!

Your contention that somebody is forcing you to pick a side is utter nonsense.
It's telling that in a thread about war, the thing that you make comment on, is a figment of your imagination.

The IDF body count of Israeli hostages keeps getting larger. Made a big song and dance about the three they rescued, at the expense of 200 civilians, but they keep racking up the hostages they're blowing up themselves.

The stated objectives of this military action are so far from being achieved that you'd have to believe that the stated objectives are not the real objectives.

There's no way the objective was to rescue hostages.

If you read the IDF's stated objectives - and believe them - they must be one of the most incompetent military forces going around, they're doing that bad a job of it.

Planned incompetence.

" You shot a heap of civilians...bad soldier, no ice cream after dinner for you ".

ummm..........did you even read the article you linked? outside of the headline?

Not only is it inconclusive as inconclusive gets as it pertains to those 2 specific hostages, but it also alleges that Hamas are well known to kill hostages and then lie about it and blame the IDF for their deaths.

If your point is that Israel are just willingly murdering hostages that's fine, but you picked a pretty bad article to try and substantiate it.............

Can you name some of these hostages Hamas have killed?

Which part of this do you think I have misinterpreted?

IDF did not disclose circumstances of hostages' deaths

The IDF did not disclose the exact circumstances of the hostages’ deaths or that it was completely certain that the IDF had caused it, but said that based on new intelligence – including the fact that the military was operating in certain areas of Khan Yunis at the time in question – it is likely that they were mistakenly killed by Israeli forces.

Generally speaking, the IDF has a standing order not to attack areas where there is intelligence that hostages might be being kept nearby.

To that extent, it has called off dozens of operations, if not more, against Hamas throughout the war to avoid harming hostages.

However, there have been multiple cases where the IDF mistakenly killed hostages.

I'm not saying it either way. The article is saying that.......

Just seems a very odd article to post.......when the article literally sits on a fence and also has no conclusive evidence of anything.

I'm not disputing that the IDF has killed hostages, we know they have. Even before they were taken hostage, we know they killed civilians mistakenly with attack helicopters.

but that article uses the word likely several times, and it also says that Hamas is known to kill hostages and then blame the IDF.

I'm not disputing your point, Moreso just that's it's a bizarre article to post to give substance to your point. Thats all.

It’s just the most recent article about hostages being killed.
And when the IDF themselves say it's very likely. And HTW isn't convinced. Because he'll never be convinced.

More Palestinians have died in captivity and the hands of Israelis since October 7th than Israelis at the hands of Palestinians. That's also an inconvenient truth.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian factions (Hamas and Fatah and others) have united and signed the Beijing Protocol. Brokered by China, so holds a bit more weight than if it were some Qatari or Egyptian initiative.

Now we have most of the world recognising a Palestinian State, and we have a united Palestinian leadership. It's just Israel and the USA standing in the way of peace now. Hopefully Australia joins the side of peace (or the more peaceful side) in the near future.

The world is going to have to accept the role to promote the path to peace, instead of facilitating the paths to war on both sides. It really is the side of Israel and the USA which is mostly pursuing war as a means to a political solution and ceasefire and have been for 60 years.
