Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

Congratulations guys. You are going to absolutely love this bloke. What he lacks in ability he makes up for with determination. I reckon you will be pleasantly surprised at what he offers. I'm pretty sure that we didnt see the best of him.

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

Really impressed with this trade, Adelaide fans seem to respect his commitment and effort so right there we already have a huge upgrade on Angus.

Welcome to Tigerland mate!

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

Got the man they wanted at the price they expected. A job well done.

Now let's see if they wanted the right man. I'm tipping they did.

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

Photoshop a Tiges jumper on him for a glimpse into the future.

Miss you Drago!

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

Just looking at some of his stats he seems to be a bit underatted by this board & i mean a bit, his last season was halted due to jacobs but his previous would suggest he was well respected and rightly so, if we can get first use of the ball through maric and he is usefull across the ground which it looks like he can be then thats a tick for me.

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

Welcome EVAAARRN.. not overly impressed with the trade. Most adelaide supporters don't seem upset to let him go. I'm not really suprised either. hopefully he can just do his job and get the ball down to our young guns..if that's what he can do and get us more centre clearances richmond should seriously be looking at finals next year.
Very big ask but it should be our aim.

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

You guys got yourselves a solid player here. Last year he was quite handy in dropping back into defence to take a grab on the last line. He uses his size quite well in marking contests. He's a surprisingly good set shot for goal too. As others have said, he never gives up and always sticks up for his team mates.

His biggest downsides are his disposal when under pressure and lack of mobility. He's obviously never going to be more than a tap ruck specialist.

It's a bit sad to see him go, but the rules just don't allow for two rucks. I dare say if the sub rule didn't exist, he would still be a Crow.

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

He was the bloke who said at the start of the year that if Ricky Nixon was his manager he would sack him?
If so the reports of his personalty are bang on by the sounds of it

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

Hey Stig, does the club feel that Ivan is an upgrade on Graham?

Or has it have to do with competition for the top spot?

I'm interested to see from which direction our club is coming because I have some stats here.

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

The thing I like about Ivan, is he appears to be tough and durable. Worse case he appears a solid back up type

Has a go and no-one says anything bad about him.

Now what RFC can do in the next 3 years or so is allow Vick to develop , with Maric steading the ship, allow Derrix to develop , and get a few quality project types with the right x factor in or a Nicholls etc.. and if Browne and Graham don't shape up move them on

Graham played as no.1 ruck, Ivan played as a 2nd ruck. Of course Graham's stats will be better. Maric played no.1 ruck once against us and had 37 HO.

I would be disappointed if they recruited players by reading and comparing stats sheets.

Re: Welcome To Richmond Ivan Maric

LETS SEE IF WE CAN TRADE GRAHAM ................ Is there any clubs that are looking at a slightly used ruckman.

Very low klm prestine condition, never been hit but has a slight transmission problem.

Needs a transplant.

Some players you're happy to see go because they're rubbish.

Some players you're happy to see go because you genuinely like them a lot, and want to see them do well, even if it means they have to go elsewhere to do it.
