Not for meHe never said pick 5 by itself
said it’s a nice pick
to me inferring he wants to get something back
i think we give future 3 rd and we get a second either this year or future
thats it
two seconds and few other picks if pan out may get us a mid first if we get a few deals done quickly
thinke rankine trade be done early then we get creative
or we invest more into next year
be assured we probably know jhf next year so loading up draft capital and freeing up huge cap space
they would have been in his ear before draft and told him scenarios
other would not have offered deal to north which they rejected lol
should have taken as will be a crow 2024
thats how I see it
High water mark would be getting their future first back as part of the trade, as they will get a bid next year before it.He never said pick 5 by itself

Because of live trading of picks - isn’t that where he earns his money? And it’s one thing we have done very well when all else has been poor recentlyI hope you're right but if thats the case why is he there draft night
Graham is a "B grader" ??Agree and Graham is only a B grader under a crap coach may regress to C grader. if he even goes there....
My bigger concern would be they hold 7, and we lose 5. that would be bad - still don't believe 5 is on the table personally
Graham is a "B grader" ??
Well we must have 6 or 7 D graders on our list.
A solid B grader but a B grader nonetheless.Graham is a "B grader" ??

People bag Keays and then say we should go after Graham.A solid B grader but a B grader nonetheless.
This fan is up to the 'he might stay' stage.
We do.Graham is a "B grader" ??

Keays must be the highest-rating Brownlow vote-getting D-grader in existence. We do.
Keays
Murphy
Mchenry
Hately
Rowe
Obrien
Crouch
Laird and dawson were way better than him all year. That's how much I give a shit about the brownlow. Cripps got best on when we smashed carlton. If it wasnt for that bs he wouldn't of won it.Keays must be the highest-rating Brownlow vote-getting D-grader in existence.
We do.

Is it legal for 3rd club to pay part of a contract for a player ?
For example could the Crows pay for 200k of Bowes contract but he gets traded to Brisbane?
you cant do that noIs it legal for 3rd club to pay part of a contract for a player ?

I've said multiple times that trading Rankine for pick 5 or more is a loss.Didn’t take long
Didn’t even have to wait until the trade went down, it was only a matter of hours and based on a radio interview. Never change Kristof
So - every other club is looking to keep the pick because it's a better draft, but not us. Sure.I personally was prepared to give up our future first but not pick 5. Pick 5 I saw as a high end mid (possibly Phillipou) that we needed into our squad asap, rather than wait til next year.
Probably stemming from no confidence in getting JHF.
However, if Sloane and Walker both retire next year, that opens up a huge amount of money. Add to it Rankine's hugely front loaded year finishing. Seedsman likey would finish out his contract next year. I've always been sceptical that Crouch is on peanuts as well.
We then go into '23 trade period with a lot of money.
On the flip side, we need to give Fogarty more money, McAdam probably too, depending on his '23 season, same goes for Taylor. If Doedee takes over captaincy, he'll get a pay rise.
Whether I agree with it or not, I'm not sure but it looks like the club are prioritising keeping next year's first rounder and not because it's a better draft.
Because of the pick trades, obviously.I hope you're right but if thats the case why is he there draft night
Keays is a C at best. His disposal is flipping garbage.keays - B - his official AFL ranking is 39 despite how much you dislike him
murphy - D
mchenry - C
rowe - D
obrien - C
hately - D
crouch - was A now C
BUT
mcpherson- D
mcasey - D
frampton - D
Davis - D
So yeh still 7 Ds
Solid F, but an F.F grade assessment
Keays is a C at best. His disposal is *ing garbage.
He misses goals 10m out. He's a total liability.I get as frustrated as anyone with regards to Keays and his disposals and general lack of awareness at times, however if he were able to tidy up those aspects of his game, he would be a genuine A grade midfielder, and someone we wouldn't have gotten a free swing at.
With all his deficiencies, the guy is still a B grade AFL player. To say otherwise is completely ignorant.
C graders don't finish top five in a B&F (no matter the Club) for three years straight and sit in top 20 for centre & stoppage clearances.
Problem with the above, is he is also top 20 for turnovers and clangers. This is why he is not an A grader.
