I don't really like Jack Watts. But Marshall our future forward is 2-3 years from making a big impact. Watts would help until then. At least he can kick straight.

In saying that wouldn't want to pay overs... Sounds like Melb's want him to go, surely that lowers his value!?!?!

If Watts is going to be of any value to a decent side he needs to play like Tom Lynch from the Crows.

If he goes to Port and they play him as a 'second forward' inside 50 he'll be shit.

He played 2nd forward since 2016 (with stints in the ruck) and has been superb. But do agree that he could play a Tom Lynch role but would prefer he does it with us.

Well given Watts isn't first 22 either reguarly....

29 alone should be enough IMO.

Dees want cap relief for Lever and for their impressive list of young talent, and don't want to risk losing a young gun in the next year or so due to cap issues.

Watts is highly dispensable.

Smart to offload now in my opinion.

We don't need cap relief at all.

A second forward averaging less than 1 contested mark per game isn't superb.

Well, obviously his contested game is weak but he went up a level playing consistently as a key forward. But yeah, probably need to get Pederson/McDonald in the role to play Watts as the roaming 3rd tall

People saying pick 29 have NFI, this draft is rubbish and Watts is worth closer to pick 10 at least although I grant we won't get that.

Definitely worth a top 15 pick this year. He is being underrated and I wouldn't trade him personally.
