One contest earlier in the match was pretty brutal , I thought he was done for the match after that.

Tough as nails and has nice disposal , I like the look of him
I remember that, he then got up and laid a tackle.

Nah mate, Pendles stuffed up on one, Short was given a goal after Sinclair didnt tackle him high, and the first goal im not sure about, i just remember Pendles not being happy about it.

No one was on Short at the 50 metre mark , Pendles yelled out to whoever "any danger?" no one manned up hah

Agree. Stats lie. Ramsey had no hand in any of Shorts goals.

The more I watch that final quarter the more I'm impressed with him. Seriously an unsung hero of that victory. Should be interesting days with Ramsay, Sinclair & Williams in our backline, I think if those three can settle there and remain injury free it'll go a long way to improving both defensively and offensively from our defensive 50.

Ramsay is my boy. :p

Id hate to say it but I wrote this after his first game. Id say this makes him more my boy

People are saying he was not good enough yet he was better than many experienced teammates tonight. He made a few mistakes but they all did. He had played one senior game of course he will make mistakes. I'm going to stock my neck and and say he will play a lot of senior football. He has good pace, I think once he gets used to the pace of senior football you will find he is a pretty good kick. He has good laterAl movement. But the main reason I think he will make it is that he is a real competitor . His skill set is good enough but his attitude will make him better than average. Give the kid time. I like the boy

Yes agree, I think Langdon is the one that should be concerned.

Yeah he's had a slump that's for sure. He started last year quite poorly too and yet finished it pretty well so he should be fine. I'm beginning to agree with others that he needs to add another element to his game but he has plenty of time to do so. The angst towards him on this board has always given me the shits.

Thought he played very well, almost our best on the night and certainly his best game for Collingwood. Runs with the ball in hand, great kick on him, long, low, flat passes that hit up targets. Will only get better at this stage too.

AFLCA Votes

Collingwood v Richmond

10 Alex Fasolo (Coll)
7 Dustin Martin (Rich)
4 Trent Cotchin (Rich)
4 Bachar Houli (Rich)
3 Ben Sinclair (Coll)
1 Jackson Ramsay (Coll)
1 Adam Treloar (Coll)

I know it's only the one vote, but for a player many thought was going to be quite vanilla, he has been very, very solid in all the games he has played, both he and Sinclair losing development time last year has been costly, because as we saw the other night, if those two, alongside Williams click, we have a very good small defender fleet.

Love what he brings this kid, no fuss and straight to the point.

Lol Cotchin.

He was great on Friday night. If he and Sinclair consistently dish out those kinds of performances I'll be shocked.
They looked like two of the most 'basic' level players when I first saw them, skinny bodies, poor skills, shrugged off easily.

Sinkers was actually sticking tackles on Friday night, and Ramsay's kicking was spot on most of the time, got involved in important pieces of play too.
Happy for them to become regulars in the team with this form. (Even though Sinclair never gets dropped regardless... Still, I'm starting to see why Bucks stuck by him)

Looks like Hardwick gave Cotchin 4 and bucks gave him nothing! My guess is:

Bucks:
5 Fasolo
4 Martin
3 Sinclair
2 Houli
1 Ramsay

Softwick:
5 Fasolo
4 Cochin
3 Martin
2 Houli
1 Treloar

So glad this thread exists, I'm really warming to this kid. Seems to have that composure that a Maynard type lacks.
In fairness to Maynard, Ramsay has two extra years of development under his belt.
