Don't think Richmond would be interested. They are rebuilding a young team, they have Angus Graham as a good solid #1 ruckman and Browne is coming along OK. Vickery would be the 3rd option and should be putting on some bulk by now. Realistically they are not going to care if it takes a couple of more years for them to develop as they have bigger holes to plug in defense than the ruck.

Disagree. Developing a ruck is hit and miss and Jacobs is already ahead of everyone on the tigers list at the ripe old age of 22.

OK, I will step up and put my head on the block.
I will say that 'if' Jacobs enters the PSD, he will definitely make it past Richmond.

Are You & Splendini prepared to say that he definitely won't? :D

No, if he enter the PSD then it dont matter a hoot to me where he ends up, but my god, would you risk even a 1% chance of ending up there unintentionally? Grigg we get, he wont get a run anywhere else without having to do the hard yards but Sauce has put the hard ones in. All that development work down the gurgler with their player development history.:eek:

Good news for us :thumbsu:

Hawks land Hale

HAWTHORN has clinched the deal to secure North Melbourne ruckman David Hale.

The trade was secured minutes ago in a swap for the Hawks’ compensation pick for Campbell Brown.
It come at the end of the first round.

It beat a rival bid from Melbourne, which offered pick No.32 for the big man.

Hawks land Hale

Hey Bloos.

Whats the word on big sauce? Will he stay with Carlton if they don't deal him or is he intent on going to the draft.

Would really like to get him in the PSD but it seems like wishful thinking. Cheers all.

Sauce has to be worth more than Hale??

Yeah, the answer is somewhere in this thread or was it the Walker & Jacobs thread?
You've only 3000 posts to get through :thumbsu:

Answer: 80% Adelaide, but who really knows.

I know why you've made this post, but you don't win either if he goes into the PSD. Melbourne weren't recruiting him for a permanent ruck role either, nor the Hawks, rather a KPF position. Has nothing to do with Jacobs.

I didn't post it for that reason

Jacobs will not go into the PSD if a trade is not done.

He will stay at the Blues.

So is Jacobs trying to leave the Blues, or just wanting to go home to SA? Because it's the latter then we should really be only talking with Port and Adelaide... other clubs esp Melbourne based should be out of the picture?

Would we be happy with a straight swap of Jacobs for either Talia or Mckernan??
I believe Carlton have already made both suggestions and Adelaide has (correctly) knocked them back.

Talia >>>>>> Jacobs
McKernan > Jacobs, but not by anywhere near as much. Safe to say that the Adelaide hierarchy rate him higher than I do though, so you can probably add a couple more >>> symbols there as well.

Then why are Talia and McKernan playing in the 2's and not the seniors in an Injury riddled Adelaide side, with a heap of retirements, and clearly needing to blood the kids, while Jacobs is playing in Finals with the seniors in front of Warnock and Hampson?

Cause how it works is like this:

If a Carlton player has ONLY played 17 games and dominated in game... he is unproven

If an Adelaide player who hasn't played a game and have struggled in the SANFL... he is untouchable

don't we love how they call us bias

Theyve got more than half a dozen tall KPP forwards, and no decent rucks.

We have four decent Rucks and only the one decent KPP forward in Henderson.

They dont understand this 'trading' caper do they?

None of our KPP's want out. We're not trading rquired players when everyones happy.

That's the difference here, Sauce wants out, so we're likely going to deal for a pick.

Because Talia was in his first year, developing down at South against harder bodies, and then did his knee at training just before a potential debut. Mckernan just had a frustrating year for South, did nothing outstanding. However all KP players take time, nothing for us to worry about. And we didn't cop injuries in the KP department all that hard, hence why they were never required. Both (especially Mckernan) will see some descent game time in 2011.

You traded the pick closest to the deal for Tambling, thus causing the problem, so now it may be a player. They cant all play at the one time, oh I forgot half of them are running around in the SANFL anway, so lets get it together and do an equitable deal.

Maric is more than capable at the level. If you want to say he is average, I'll agree, but saying he isn't decent is a long way off the mark. Just get over it, you won't be getting any of our KP prospects because your club continues to take midfielders in the draft, not our problem.

Phil Davis was running round in the SANFL last year...

You wouldn't be trading Jacobs or Grigg unless they wanted out, this is the same for our players.

If your club had been a little easier to deal with earlier in the week, you may have got that compo pick. We offered this pick earlier in the week, but Carlton rejected it, only to suddenly demand it as soon as we traded it for Tambling.

If they wanted to play in the 2nd tier comp they wouldnt be moving on.
We are offering an opportunity for those traded to play ones. Maybe your guys are happy to play SANFL

Would be a win win I feel.

according to your great mod... McKernan > Jacobs... Talia >>>>> Jacobs... this is not the situation... this is the actual quality of players
