Yeah I did misread your comment. Sorry. I guess it’s because the clubs’ access to external sources of income for their players is so unequal that it distorts the salary cap too much. Collingwood/Richmond etc already have a leg up in that area and it wouldn’t help the overall goal of equalisation to make it worse.

I actually think we are better placed than last year even tho we played finals. The footy we played in the 2nd half of the season seems more sustainble and better suited for finals footy.

Is this a joke? Most want us to throw everything we have at him if we lose him we may as well rebuild. I don't agree with what they're saying he's no Dutin Martin but he's important, I don't mind getting another top 10 pick in this draft and getting Hatley and Rozee.
