The reason why Hawthorn are in position A is because Jed has requested a trade, not specifically to a club. From all reports he just wants opportunity not specifically a destination. Hawks will send him where the best deal is, which means someone will be paying overs.
Precedent gets thrown around this time of year but the facts are you cannot buy for any pick in the national draft what Jed will deliver. If are in the bottom half of the ladder and you need a ball winner he will give you more than the 2015 draft pool. What's that worth?

Yeah i wasn't sure on the pick just guessed. Pick 28 from crows should be enough if he was to choose crows.
He will nominate a club once each club puts an offer to him. You'll get a 2nd round pick maybe even a 3rd. The fact the hawks didn't play him reduces his value.

Unlikely as this is a poor draft, Anderson is contracted and likely to be rated higher than the 28th player in this draft.

Haha. If Anderson nominates a team and it's in a ballpark figure, Hawthorn will accept it, as they have been known to do for a long time.. I would have thought a pick in the 20's would be around the mark.

If he doesn't want to be there and his not been in your best 22 his bags are already packed. Hawks will get a 2nd rounder for him at best.

If we end up taking a pick for him I'd prefer it to be a first rounder in next years draft.

Doubt 1st round picks will even come into it. Hawks 1st for yarran why would hawks care about bettering it for blues. Might be our 2nd and 3rd for their 4th and anderson if he picks us. He will get games for sure with us as he is what we need.

The AFC are trading GWS their 2nd rd pick of 2016 for Hampton, who, like Anderson, was not getting a game in 2015 but with a much less quality footy club. Anderson is also being pursued by several clubs.
