Is UIsrael and the Jews acting like hypocrites when commenting on and actioning violence and segregated oppression toward their Middle East neighbours with their sanctions and restrictions on Palestine and Lebanon etc?

Cinsidering they complained about the Holocaust and the inhumane treatment that they received then at the hands of the Nazis, why are they doing the same things to the Palestine peoples because they think they have superiority and a bigger right to the Palestinian lands than the Palestinians do. Isn't this an indication that they see Palestine as a threat and an enemy much like they claimed the Germans and Nazis saw them in the 1940s when Hitler ran his concentration camp structures and attacked them.

Is it hard for others to take Jews claims seriously regarding the Middle East when they seem to be the big problem in all of this? I am at the stage where I cannot take comments claiming ant-Semitic attacks etc seriously when there seems to be an unrelenting willingness to do the same to others from the Israeli government.

Maybe Israel should stop acting like spoilt children if they want to be taken seriously and have their case heard fairly.

I don't like to pick on the Jewish people as a group because there are large portions of the Jewish community who do not approve of the actions of the Israeli government. Certainly some hard line sections are terrible, but unfortunately in all societies you'll find the far right are for some form of ethnic segregation either directly or indirectly through targeted government policies.

The problem I have is the media tends to ignore Israel's crimes completely. Whether it be the conflict with Palestine or their persecution and sterilization of African immigrants. There almost seems to be a unwritten code of silence among western media that exposing Israel's dirty laundry is a no-no.

As Ariel Sharon when he was leading said "we own America" that alone should raise eyebrows. And when challenged on anything many of their leaders tend to play the holocaust card, as if that gives them a free pass to cover up their own crimes against other nations/humanity.

I traveled around Asia/Middle-East/Europe just a few months ago and was appalled by the incredible amounts of racism and xenophobia found in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I went into Palestine and the West Bank and the conditions and the stories we were told (had a translator) were sickening.

The only reason why you never hear about their crimes is because they hold so much influence in Western media, especially in the US. Not sure about Murdoch and Australia though, but those rich media moguls are normally well connected with one another. It's all about securing and maintaining their oligarchical powers.

But yeah, the way they treat Palestinians and other non-Israeli's was disturbing, to say the least. Not sure if it's their victim complexes or superiority complexes at work.

And yeah, they're not a 'democracy' in any sense of the word. They openly spout racist nonsense and hold protests against African immigrants almost daily.

They live in a corner of the world where their neighbours practice ethnic cleansing, genocide, terrorism, kidnapping, racism and other wholesome practices.

If they're going to survive in their 'chosen land', they have to be as cruel, vicious and unkind as their neighbours. That's the way their neighbourhood operates.

Sadly for their neighbours and anti-zionists, the nazi's taught them that being non-confrontational and meek in the face of unfriendly neighbours got approx 6 million (roughly 1/3 of their global population) killed.

So far, despite being surrounded by people who hate them, they've probably only lost, what? a few 10's of thousands over 50 years after following a policy of getting stuck into their opponents.....seems to be working a lot better than being nice.

I think it highlights how far we have come with tolerance and anti-discrimination in the western world. We still have a long way to go but if we compare ourselves with many other nations, Australia is comparatively good in this area.

Mind you is it surprising that a nation like Israel which was left by the Jews out of conflict, was born again out of conflict and has been immersed in conflict for the last 65 years?
