Always liked him

From game one

Never understood the doubters

Honestly one if not my favourite player at the pies

Pace

No frills

Courage

Takes game on

Not a high draft pick
Same. From his very first game. Even his first VFL game, he just bought something different we didnt have. There is a reason why he has barely missed a game since 2020.

Has played 76 games out of a possible 82.

Consistent Collingwood defender John Noble is on track to win a multi-year contract extension off the back of his strong form so far in 2023.
Noble, 26, has played 76 of Collingwood’s 82 games since he was picked up in the 2019 mid-season draft, establishing himself as a reliable halfback capable of launching attacks from defence.

He kicked the final goal in last Sunday’s come-from-behind victory over Adelaide, launching a long bomb to draw the Magpies to within a point.
It is understood the Pies and Noble’s management are yet to officially kickstart talks on a new deal with his current two-year contract running out at season’s end.
But both the player and the club are happy with the situation, with a deal likely to be agreed to in the second half of the season.
Noble was chosen as pick 14 in the 2019 mid-season draft

Not much of anything compared to Noble. GOAT mid-season draftee
I think the Tigers are happy with Pickett.
I’m sure he’s happy with his medallion too.
Incidentally, Tigers took Pickett with the pick immediately before we took Noble, (didn’t know that!).

Congrats to Nobby the house elf. So glad you got away from the Malfoys and joined us. And good for you getting an upgrade on that sock in return.

They would be and he's played a decent role for them, but take away his medal, Noble prob been the most consistent. Maybe has played the most games?

PIES SET TO START NOBLE TALKS

COLLINGWOOD is set to ramp up contract talks with John Noble in the coming weeks.

Noble has been one of the mid-season draft's biggest success stories since its return in 2019, breaking through for 76 senior games and becoming a mainstay in Craig McRae's plans across half-back. He kicked a crucial goal late against Adelaide last week in another Collingwood comeback.

The 26-year-old is enjoying his best campaign to date to begin the 2023 season and is averaging career-highs in disposals (21.7 per game), marks (six per game), rebounds (5.1 per game), score involvements (3.6 per game) and metres gained (483m per game).

Noble is keen to remain at Collingwood, but is yet to start negotiations around an extension beyond this season. However, his manager Winston Rous told AFL.com.au's trade and draft show Gettable this week that talks were imminent.

"He's probably having his best year so far, as a number of those Pies are," Rous said.

"It's something that we'll start talks on pretty soon. He has made his intentions clear to them and them to us, so it's something where in the next little bit we will sit down and map out what that future looks like." – Riley Beveridge

He's a gun Jen. He came to us and immediately tried to take the game on with his pace and kicking. He almost sweeps everything up in defence and always goes for the attacking option. He plays to our game plan perfectly

Thanks Fly 😉

J Noble is an absolute gem. He shone from the very beginning, but now he has become just scintillating. His courage and desperation, his refusal to give in, his brilliant run and carry lights up the ground.
I loved him from themoment he played, and that has only grown in leaps and bounds.
He is a wonderful player.

What no one is talking about: John Noble’s season

Collingwood defender John Noble has been superb in 2023.

While he’s averaging 22 disposals, Noble stands out much more than just his ability to rack up the footy.

A running defender that helps the Magpies launch scores with his dash and go-forward mindset, Noble seemingly never fumbles, continually keeps his feet and is a smart, neat user by hand and foot.

While defensive counterparts Nick Daicos, Darcy Moore and Brayden Maynard attract more attention, there’s no doubt Noble’s efforts would be incredibly appreciated inside Collingwood’s four walls.

The 26-year-old is such a reliable, consistent performer for coach Craig McRae.

His constant availability holds him in good stead.
pretty durable. His real last injury that put him out for a few games was in his debut year in 2019, hurt his quad after that first game v eagles. Cant remember much more than that.

I've noticed this about JN since his debut, I might be wrong but I reckon his overall DE is pretty good.

Always been a fan.

People talk about him leaning into tackles to attract the high contact frees, but that’s just how he turns at pace with ball in hand. He tilts, just like Doohan on a Repsol Honda.

We were so lucky in F1 bikes - first Gardiner and then Doohan - there was also a World Champ we had in superbikes but for the life of me I can't remember his name.
