Likely been answered already… but Noble’s been on the rookie list more than 3 years now.

Wasn’t he due an upgrade to the senior list?

I know the difference is practically negligible… but he’s weekly best 22, a heart and soul player

Should be on the senior list
If that is his situation then it basically mirrors Brody Mihocek's when he was drafted.

Shouldn't he be on the senior list? 2019 MSD.
2020 year 1
2021 year 2
2022 year 3
?
I know there was a rule in 2020 you could have a rookie for an extra year, so if he was allowed a 4th year, then suppose end of the year he gets upgraded.
But they promoted Ginni end of last year ahead of schedule, when they could have done Noble.

Johnny F Noble is putting his hand up to be the natural successor when Sidey pulls the pin.
His ability to run all day and get into the right places is reminiscent of Sidebottom and what he brings to the Pies.
Always loved his desire from the first time I saw him play. And that has only become better year on year.

don’t want to think about the day Steele retires 🥺🥺😭

3) Opponents need to be wary of John Noble

Collingwood's 2019 mid-season draft pick added another chapter to what's fast becoming a terrific career in a huge win on Saturday night. Noble's 30 disposals were the second highest of his career, but it's the damage he did with them that really caught the eye. He gained 529m, the fifth-highest in the match, and had a disposal efficiency of 86.5 per cent. Throw in the wonderful third-quarter goal in which he sidestepped Noah Anderson and converted from 45m and Noble was clearly one of the best players on ground. The 26-year-old adds so much run and carry and is highly effective defensively with his speed and ability to come forward and force opponents into error. Opposition teams have to be wary of him with and without the ball.

Wing might be a good place for him. He wont be exposed for size .

I think Noble is in the perfect team. He is rarely going to get tagged and can play his own game.

Have liked him from game one and glad he is now being noticed

Little tit rat

Please don’t make fun of Nobes’ cup size. All pasty rangas’ bodies are beautiful.

Not just Noble, who'd been doing it most of the year, but we saw more aggressive running from Quaynor and Markov last week. Nick like, giving off the ball then continuing to run all the way to the forward 50.

Noble with a goal and 7 score involvements. Quaynor had one where he could have recieved a handball and kicked from 45-40, but Mitchell (I think) decided to kick and the ball was spoiled OOB - only 3 score involvements. Markov a goal and 9 score involvements.

Haven't noticed it so much before. Could be just that the Suns defended so poorly, or with Nick in the middle, these other defenders are expanding their role.

I don't think he gets exposed for size down back anymore. His spoiling has been a significant improvement in his game.
Agreed, he is exposed far less down there. Doesn't engage physically, but uses his speed to catch people and spoil it

The tricky part is his competition in the team for one of those flanking spots is fierce. I think Nick will be pushed to a flank in order for the AA guys to fit more mids in
Yes they will probably stick Nick at half back even though he is a mid
Outside of Houston (lock), Sinclair (lock) and Redman who else? I would have Noble in the conversation for sure

Please no one suggest Saad i have a stomach ulcer and a belly laugh would do more harm than good

He's playing well, but with the way IQ has played the last month or two, he'd be behind two small defenders in his own team.
I would disagree that Noble would be behind IQ this season, there are generally 3 running defender spots + 1 third tall/lockdown (Quaynor may be more suited for this), 2 Tall defender spots + possibly one bench spot for a defender . I can't see how Noble isnt in discussion given there are potentially 4 spots open to him
