This arm business was done to death earlier in the thread. Vicky Park spent hours forensically examining the photos and concluded that the limbs in question all belonged to De Goey. De Goey also did not deny ownership of the arm in his statement. I think you can safely assume that the arm and everything attached belong to him.

Kuta is awful. Canggu is nice enough, but so many better places around, unless you're a surfer.

I would like to see strict legislation governing professional media (for profit) outlets use of non professional media (social media, not for profit). Something along the lines that professional outlets can talk about the content but they can't re-distribute the content.

I'm quite hurt that you've wilfully ignored my own extensive forensic work in this area. Long before Vicky Park came on the scene it was me and myself who expertly ascertained that it is Jordan's arm.

Well said in general but I'd be disgusted if Jordy followed Bailey Smith's apology lead. Not suggesting Bailey was being disingenuous and isn't contrite about his behaviour or suffered from mental health issues, but I don't think JDG is. It'd be a shocking move. Pulling the mental health card to dodge some flak, if not true, is just so poor.

I meant in terms of the tone of humility and owning his “poor choices” and apologising including to sponsors (with whom his employer will be dealing again). He should not pull the mental health card unless of course, he has mental health issues. I imagine the situation could create them but Bailey differs in that he had a well- understood pre-existing mental health condition that made that okay for him to address.

He is a human being who is being too heavily scrutinised. He has done well to set a target on his own back but he needs support and protection. The media have gone too far.

I actually agree with you on needing support and protection and the media going too far. I would add mentoring and guidance. I just don’t think he helps himself and that then impacts on more than just him.

The reality is that this incident will impact the length and terms of his contract offer. Bringing the club into disrepute does have a commercial impact. It will also likely impact the terms of offers from other clubs.

I largely agree with your take on it, however, having not seen the video and then saying it is just dance floor stuff...why not just go and look at it before posting?
The pull of the top is absolutely the only thing even remotely an issue for DeGoey about the video.
Now the girl has said it was all consensual fun, it shouldn't be a problem. That said, if she changes her mind or had reacted differently in the cold light of day with her being exposed through the media, he may have been in a lot of trouble.

For journalists, maybe find out from her first before making it the lead story for the whole frickin nation? Maybe actually doing real journalist work is beyond them these days.

Just a small tip to the idea this stuff is not newsworthy so.dont look at it.

The thing is that I doubt he's contrite and probably doesn't think he's done anything wrong. And he possibly hasn't. An apology would be rubbish. It'd be the kind of thing that makes the cynical like me doubt Bailey Smith - I know many people who are apologetic for the way they have behaved whilst on drugs, but to be apologetic for the act itself? And to include emotional issues in your public apology? Smelled like mitigation to me.
