I’m talking real world value, how teams actually rate picks when it’s not decided by the computer system designed to prop up the Northern clubs and make father sons easy.

Future 3rd is meh. 39 in this draft, meh.

15 + 15 = 8, minus pick 30 = 12. Not far off.
You can’t just ignore the whole trade and pick elements to add up to X to prove your point. Compare the whole Taranto trade to the whole proposed Dunkley trade.

And he can't do that in private?

Seems like you're twisting it to fit your narrative
Well it's happened - if you're actually not trolling here (and given some of your recent posts, that's debatable) why do you think he's done it?

This looks to be one of those horrible scenarios yet again with the players holding too much power. It prevents a true value deal getting done.

But I guess it comes out in the wash. Sometimes you get the better end of it. Sometimes you don't. Dogs cleaned up at the draft last a couple years exploiting a broken system. Lions are doing it this year.

Eventually the AFL will look at it you'd hope. But lets not hold our breath.

Currently I think Dogs would be prepared to let Dunkley walk to the PSD if 15 and a future 2nd (with picks coming back too..) is the best Lions can come up with.

The fact Lions need points for Ashcroft is not really the Doggies problem.

Can we go with Jake Soligo at 36, Paul Curtis at 35, Errol Gulden at 32, Beau McCreery at 44, Jacob Wehr at 59, Trent Rivers at 32, Noah Cumberland at 43, Michael Frederick at 61? If you know how to draft, you can get extremely good players in the second round and beyond. Expecting to get a B&F winner for two late first rounders is already cheap, expecting two seconds in return is just a laugh.

You quote about 2nd rounders is clearly incorrect.
Why?

Not sure how us getting second rounder for a player (I think we even traded away one) is impacting your ability to accept two first rounders for a player out of contract.

The other issue is we're strengthening an already good side if Dunkley goes to Brisbane.
If we let him walk for unders, we're opening up the potential for getting treated harshly in future deals and helping a competitor get stronger.
If Dunkley goes to a non-challenger... not so much.

You said they're 'not worth a pinch of shite' yet accepted a second rounder for a player who appeared 20+ times for you this year. And asked for a second rounder back in your first offer.

Do you really need the dots connected here, or are you trying to be obtuse?
