and the Dogs would rightly tell you no. If you managed to squeeze 39 out of them you'd be doing ok, but F1, 21 and F2 (Geelong) is almost identical to the draft capital given to get Taranto. No idea why you seem to think they should give you 2 seconds back on top of that.

Yes the unassailable precedent is a first + second. To pay 2 firsts would be to establish two precedents in a week which I believe there is a rule forbidding this. Ergo F1 + 21

Brisbane can upgrade 21 to a genuine mid first with Geelongs F2 and get something back there if they can wrangle it.

Were not giving back anything else and we can’t touch 21 as Freo will want it.

It’s pretty much F1 & 21 for Dunks, and we have to pay the privilege of waiting a year to cash in on a pick which won’t be much better than 39 (maybe 5-10 places)

So it’s not great. They can upgrade 21 to a first with F2 and give us 2x firsts as requested on day 1, with nothing back

Those seem like the only real candidates. I wonder which of them is most likely.

Then the deal is probably F1 + that pick with 39 maybe going back. I doubt the Dogs need it anyway.
