Who Carlton will take?

Ahmed Saad is one who has been linked to Carlton and I expect will be in the mix. With Betts and now Garlett gone Carlton need a small forward so Saad would be seen as a cheap, immediate replacement.

Carlton also need so more help through the midfield so Peter Bampton if there would be a strong option as a well performed genuine contested ball winner who can play from season one.

Bampton for me. I'll take the 18 year old who is achieving much the same numbers in a stronger competition.

In saying that I'd like to see Schroder receive another shot as someone who struggled at Geelong mostly due to the surplus of good youth on that list.

It's mostly Adam Treloar who has been most heavily rumoured to be leaving. In past years Dylan Shiel was another though that talk seems to have died down some.

Jeremy Cameron is that one everyone will want but hard to see GWS letting him go unless a club offered up say the equivalent of Griffen and pick 6 or better.

Why wouldnt they??? Tipping the Jeremy Cameron bidding to set a new bar in the AFL (both contract terms and trade terms)

I don't know if he was arrogant, he said if Tom doesn't want to be around he can leave. There is a lot of stuff in the background that none of us are privy too but the popular belief is Bulldogs rubbed out General's name and gave the contract to Boyd. Given it's a 7 million dollar deal you would be entitled to be a bit disappointed by it!!

That said General hadn't signed it and therefore we can only take him at his word that he's bought in and was going to stay. As a Giants fan when we hear that kind of stuff it makes us feel good because there is so much negativity heaped on GWS by the media and by opposition fans.

When players like General, Whitfield and Tomlinson publicly state their love of the joint it's pretty bloody encouraging!

While on a SA player Bampton word is the Crows have West Adelaide's Jono Beech a mature ager training with them at present with a view to taking him in the rookie draft. Has dominated the SANFL for quite some time now apparently with very high numbers. Do you know much about him??

Beech can play. He is one of the pretty solid ready to play mature age options and has been a strong performer for a few years now in the SANFL. Could be a rotational fwd/mid option.

He didn't say "I'm letting my manager take care of it" he's continually said "I'm staying" and couldn't be more adamant.

All I know is he is a son of a Beech.
