You can literally go to any of the teams' websites and go to their colts player list to find heights, weights, and DOB's.

Sellwood has been playing PSA footy. I have no idea why he didn't play in the trial game, he's been Peel's best mid for 1.5 seasons now when he's available.

Watched him in a PSA game. Good attack on the ball but seems a very uncoachable kid. If there’s a fight out there- he’s in it. Gives away too many frees. Can’t hit a target by foot. He is most things a coach wouldn’t want on your team. Great endeavour but not enough class to be considered. That said- you’d want him on your team and not against you.

Royal Eagle answered this probably better than I could.

Humphries I'm not familiar with.

Regan looks the most draftable of them as a taller mid and could mid-late be considered, though could rise higher if his play elevates.

Farmer I don't believe I've seen but is a small and doesn't find a lot of it. So in the unsure camp until I see him.

Berry I've seen a fair bit of film on and seen some games of. Seriously quick and can run with the footy and take on the game. Just not sure of a best position at this stage so I'm not at this point expecting he get picked.

I can't say I have a D.O.B. He's listed as 17 y/o on WAFL site. Will have to trust you on him being draftable at this stage, haven't seen.

Sorry KM I meant LAWSON Humphries not JARRAD. My Bad

Hi KM
Mind if I ask about the draft prospects of some East Perth boys:
Jye Amiss (more goals and accuracy than Williams)
Jimmy Tunstill (accumulating mid, great disposal, top 5 disposals in Colts)
Kade Dittmar (hard at it inside mid, also hits scoreboard)
All south west boys.

Thanks for your time

Dittmar and Tunstill are finding the footy.

Have only seen the one game from Dittmar but like the signs with his contested work.

Tunstill similar is a solid ball winner from that same limited sample.

Both look draftable and to be among WA's better mids, with Dittmar I perhaps a first half of draft prospect.

Amiss is spending a lot more time closer to goal v Williams who also spends some time through the ruck and to his credit is making the most of his opportunities. He'll need to show recruiters he can also get up the ground, as I haven't noticed him move far past the 50m arc.

Who are the best KPP in this draft? Can any pinch hit in the ruck?

or any Ruckman who can also play KP to a decent level?

Sam Darcy is the best KPP and can also play through the ruck. The problem though for everyone other than the Dogs is, bids will be matched on him.

Jacob Edwards would otherwise have been that next best option, but already taken through the MSD.

Mac Andrews through Melbourne NGA is another candidate. If a bid inside the top-20 comes for him, he's free for all. He can ruck, but does have the versatility to play elsewhere and will need to until he develops physically. I think in the long run though ruck will be his best spot giving his leaping and soft hands and direct taps to targets.

Jack Williams spends some time through the ruck though at 195cm, he's equivalent in the WAFL Colts to a Hawkins through the ruck where ideally you just keep him forward, though he can take those fwd 50m ruck contests and cause problems in those situations and take it out of the ruck and kick the goal himself.

They're the ones who can do some combination of both that I rate at this point.

Next year there seem to be a lot more of those high end tall key forwards who can compete through the ruck. So that's something to look out for then for those clubs who miss out this year.

Jackson? Think you mean Jacob.

KM - any thoughts on Taj Woewodin as a possible Dees’ father-son?

Clean ball user, composed and can win his own ball through the midfield. He's not one of the very top end WA Colts mids, but he's one of that next group down.

He's one Melbourne late draft or as a rookie should be considering.

I quite like Josh Rentsch with a back half of the draft pick, big, strong lad that is quite capable of pinch hitting in the ruck, good overhead, reasonably good set shot goal kicking with nice penetration and reasonably athletic.

I like his work rate/intensity, not a shrinking violet type which you like to see with big forwards. Probably a bit undersized to be a genuine KPF, reminds me a little of Membrey.

He's definitely a target.

If he's picked, I would have thought late pick given how physically developed he is though.

I'm not quite sure he has enough tricks as a forward. At his height and with his marking capabilities I'd be shifting him into defence and thinking his chances to develop for AFL purposes are better there.

Rentsch undersized? He's 197cm and 100kg!

I wrote about Rentsch in my weekly 1st weekly wrap for the year as my player focus player, comparing him to Charlie Dixon, as largely that equivalent in the NAB League. He's an absolutely massive target and contested marking force by any measure at the level.

Lucky I didn’t put my house on it!

The Jamarra situation is a fascinating one.

The way things are going, he'll demand a trade at the end of the year and the return won't be comperable to what would be leaving in Jamarra.

Jamarra could be easily accommodated as a part of the best-2 if Naughton was shifted into defence, so that Jamarra can pair with Bruce.

The problem though is the Dogs are all in for a premiership run this year, so it's a bit like choosing whether they prioritise Jamarra or winning this year. Or could they do both with Jamarra?

If the Dogs can tolerate playing tall and don't feel that takes too much away from the midfield, with Naughton's endurance, he could very easily play as a tall marking wing who pushes back to intercept and forward to take further marks. Next Richo/Riewoldt on a wing? He has that scope.

The Dogs seem to have made their call, though I see room for another good key defender and with Geelong looming in the finals and if healthy the team to beat, I see the Dogs struggling with the Hawkins/Cameron combination unless Naughton were to make that shift.

The other additional component of interest for the longer term is Sam Darcy is coming along in 2022. Darcy can play key position at either end or ruck, so that's another opportunity and option the Dogs have to really get creative with how they want to structure up.

I don't know why you bother with updating your 2020 list so early on. Surely the mcdonald/TT comparison highlights this. Mcdonald looked good early while TT was in the twos. Now the reverse is happening. You're basing it off way too small a sample size especially given the jump up to afl.

IMO it will be close as I rate mcdonald highly and he will become a big lad with a great contested mark. TT will have him covered for ground level work though.

The update was done purely due to the quantity of requests. I had no intention or thought of doing an update of the 2020 pool, but having requests across all platforms, I thought, why not?

With the talls, the takeaway point I'd like people to go home with, and I could have explained my tiers in greater detail. But I'm seeing it as a draft where those top-4 talls are the clear top-4 players in the pool. And at this point, you could list them in any order, and you're not far wrong when projecting ahead for the long run.
