Freo set a precedent with the price they paid for a contracted Bolton. A couple of firsts. Personally I don’t think Pickett necessarily requested a trade. He’s homesick no doubt.

Best of luck I guessSure.
You're not a critical thinker. Most people aren't.
Most people are sheep.
We had a year where everything went wrong and still won 11 games. We also lost 4 games by under a goal.
But it is what it is. If we're shit, the sheep will be right. Let's see.
Btw, I can understand a Freo supporter thinking as you do. I would too. We are genuinely your bitch.
Lever and May are fine when not injured. Not just fine, they're great.Best of luck I guess
Lever and May aren’t what they used to be and regularly injured
Surely Big Maxy starts slowing down , he’s 32
Losing Neal Bullen and having a disgruntled Oliver and not much of a forward line doesn’t bode well either
bottom 4 finish coming up under simple simon.Oliver, Petracca, Gawn, May, Lever, Fritsch, Viney, Salem, Langdon, Melksham is a very solid group of senior players. Obviously fitness is the key.
23 and unders: Pickett, Rivers, van Rooyen, Windsor, McVee, Bowey and others (Turner, Moniz-Wakefield, Howes, etc) is also very solid.
Add two top 10 picks in this superdraft and there's every chance the Dees bounce quickly.
As for players bailing ? If we have a great year they won't be going anywhere. If we don't they're still contracted for multiple years and will do what we say.
I get the sheep will predict a terrible year for the Dees, but astute thinkers may think otherwise.
yeah, no doubt he will come up in trade talks. It'd be devastating to lose him. He's worth 2 first rounders pretty obviously. But the other name that came up was Judd McVee which would be equally as damaging. And with McVee you just know that he's rated so much more highly internally than probably externally. But McVeewould set us back a long way. It'd be like losing Scott Thompson to Adelaide who became a 300 gamer. On Gettable they reckon to watch out for Pickett, was apparently trying to get to Fremantle up until the last 24 hours.
With his family/mates in Narkle and Bolton already over here, that may help.
No doubt he'll try to get out again but if Dees are anywhere near challenging they'll hold him to his contract....again. But if the wheels fall off next year they should let him go.
Yeah they could try but early indications are the draft pool is much weaker and more compromised next year. Plus they've already given their 1st rounder for next year away.Dees could do a Richmond and get an absolute bounty for Pickett/Petracca/Oliver. Would be a great starting point before Tassie comes in

Players do sometimes get held to their contracts after exploring a trade - but when's the last time it happened two years in a row? Generally the second time a player seeks a trade they get it
Behind closed doors he didHe didn't request a trade.
Behind closed doors he did
Well at the very least, it's now public knowledge that he wants to be at Fremantle, he may not have requested a proper trade, but he still wants to come to us.No he didn't, it was stated multiple times he never actually requested a trade.

WCE and Freo fans, what would you expect the trade offers to be for a contracted Kozzie?
Hey dont out me like thatIt's obvious that west coast fans want kozzy to Freo to happen
They know that chad wants us, it's in their best interest for us to use our capital on Kozzy

I mean honestly I'd say most of our fanbase have gone off Warner anyways, if Pickett's available he's the better choice. It's obvious that west coast fans want kozzy to Freo to happen

I purely want Warner so you guys dont get him. Pickett really does make a lot more senseIf the Dees dont return to the finals mix in 2025 I think this gets done, Kozzy to Freo.
They have 3x first rounders to use next year so its not like they dont have the capital to get it done.
Taking off my west coast hat here, I think Kozzy is a much better for Freo than Warner, and I think Freo know theyre probably a bit behind in the Warner chase anyway.
Dees will have done a rebuild without ever really falling down to the bottom of the ladder over a few years since losing Jackson, not an awful result for them tbh.
